Sometimes you have to break the rules to get what you need.
Reading this material at Work could get you spanked.
Welcome to the Saturday Spankings blog hop. My stories are all M/f with the dominant male determined to protect the woman he cares for and loves, or grows to love, by doing whatever it takes to ensure her safety and continued health. This includes administering a spanking when she needs one.
My submission for this week is an excerpt from my new spanking novella in the Corbin's Bend series, Past Interference, the sequel to A Simple Misunderstanding. Past Interference is part of the Corbin's Bend Valentine's Day collection "Love in the Rockies," and is not being sold separately.
In this scene, which occurs in Chapter Five, Eleanor Benson (Elly) has made more than a few mistakes, one of which results in her throat being injured when she experiences another run in with her ex-husband. Not permitted to talk until the doctor gives her permission, Elly is reduced to communicating with a white board. With her wedding to Jerry scheduled to take place in three days, Elly refuses to spend one more night in the guest bedroom. Knowing Jerry will do nothing to address their issues until after she's been cleared by their physician, Elly decides to confront the matter the only way she knows how. Head on. Jerry gives Elly a chance to avoid the inevitable by ordering her to pick up her board one last time, but she stubbornly refuses to comply, so he makes good on his promise. When Elly finally gives in, Jerry wants to make sure she understands he's serious about her health, and that further disobedience will only get her in worse trouble.
As his
hand continued to descend, Elly clamped her lips together and tried to stay
silent, but she didn’t last another five swats before she started to wail. “I’m
sorry.”
“That
just earned you another seventeen, little girl. Speak again, and I’ll get the
brush. Use. Your. Board.”
This
volley was more painful than the last, so Elly struggled to keep silent as she
frantically endeavored to scribble in all capital letters between whacks, “I’M SORRY!”
He
delivered three more swats and stopped. Her bottom throbbed painfully, but
rather than stroke and reassure her as he usually did, Jerry helped her to her
feet and eased off the bottoms of her pajamas as he spoke. “You
deliberately sought to make me angry, Elly, and you succeeded.” Handing her the
board, he grabbed her arm. “Come with me.”

Blurb:
Valentine's Day in Corbin's Bend. As Elly Benson readies herself for her second wedding, the doubts and misgivings of any new bride-to-be are exacerbated by the abuse she suffered during her first marriage.
Though she's lived with Jerry Douglas for four months now, and been subject to his discipline more than once, Elly's first husband had been kind and careful with her, too, until the day she vowed to love, honor and obey him. The lessons she's learned from the past make her doubt she can ever find happiness in the future.

Ooh someone's in trouble - we like that :D I think Elly may have gotten the message though! Let's hope so, because the brush sounds nasty!!
ReplyDeleteOh ouch! It seems Elly definitely suceeded in bringing things to a head! I can't image trying to write while being spanked.

Men can be so stubborn! Well, I suppose we can be too.
ReplyDeleteAhhh, I do love the threat of the brush! Great snippet, Kathryn :)
ReplyDeleteAww, poor Elly! She probably shouldn't push his buttons.
ReplyDeleteOoh, this sounds ominous! Great snippet!
