#SatSpanks - 11/4/17 - Past Interference - Promising obedience can lead to unhappiness #CorbinsBend #DomesticDiscipline

My submission for this week is an excerpt from my new spanking novella in the Corbin's Bend series, Past Interference, the sequel to A Simple Misunderstanding. It used to be available only as part of the Love in the Rockies anthology, but is now being sold as a single release.
In this scene, which occurs in Chapter Six, Eleanor Benson (Elly) has made more than a few misjudgments, one of which results in her throat being injured when she experiences another run in with her ex-husband. After she's been cleared by the doctor to talk, Jerry offers to call off from work then get them both a couple of drinks so they can discuss things through undisturbed. Elly thinks that's a good idea until Jerry admits he broached the topic of her uncertainties with their doctor and was given the advice that showing was better than telling. His words cause Elly more than a little unease. Having already made one serious mistake by marrying her first husband, she fears the consequences of making another.
Jerry’s
appearance in Elly's life was close to a miracle. He was unstinting in his
affection, patient and incredibly gentle. A part of her understood she was
being ridiculous. Jerry would never purposefully hurt her in any way, but he was
still a dominant male with certain expectations, and marriage was a sacred
covenant. He might not intend to treat her any differently after they wed, but
that didn’t mean he wouldn’t.
“What
are you thinking?”
“I’m
wondering why you’re so insistent I promise to obey you in church when you don’t
think it will make any difference in our relationship.”
“I
didn’t say it wouldn’t make any difference, I merely said that since you’re
already obeying me, it should make very little difference to you.”
“So,
why don’t we simply drop the word? It could save us a lot of time and grief.”
“You
want to know why I think eliminating ‘obey’ from your vows would be a mistake?”
She
nodded.
“Because
it’s not the word itself that’s causing your hesitancy, Elly. It’s your trust.
I could agree and let you change your vows to ease your mind, but that would
merely be placing a bandage on the problem, rather than rooting out its cause.”

Having been cleared by the doctor to talk, Elly hesitates to talk through her issues with Jerry. Rather than push her he says he'll go back to work, but she knows it won't get any easier with time, so she calls him back saying postponing their discussion will only make her more nervous than she already was. So, Jerry offers to call into work then get them both a couple of drinks so they can talk undisturbed. Elly thinks that's a good idea until Jerry tells her he discussed Elly's uncertainties over with her doctor and was given the advice that showing was better than telling.
Elly
frowned. “What does that mean — exactly?”
“It
means that until I prove to you how Arthur and I differ, you’ll continue to
fear the unknown.”
“You’ve
already demonstrated your differences.”
“Not
in the way that clearly matters to you.”
She
shifted a little on the couch. “I don’t think I understand.”
“I
think you do, but why don’t you tell me what scares you the most about giving
me your vow of obedience?”
She
shrugged and took another sip of tea.
“Are
you afraid I’ll abuse your trust in some way by asking you to do something you
don’t want to do?”
Uncomfortable
with the direction this conversation was taking, Elly briefly considered
redirecting the discussion to a safer topic, then bit her lip and answered
honestly. “A little, I guess. I’m afraid you’ll use my promise to convince me
to try something I don’t want to do.”
“Like
what?”

Given
Colorado’s climate in February, Elly grew easily chilled, so Jerry fixed her a
mug of Earl Grey tea and poured himself a cup of coffee, then sat beside her.
“Marcus
said tea and honey would help soothe your throat.”
“Is
that what you talked about? My throat?” she asked, bringing the steaming,
aromatic fluid up to her nose and inhaling the unique citrusy fragrance deeply.
“We
discussed the ways I could make you more comfortable. I wanted his take on your
fear and what I could do to assuage it.”
She
jerked her head up to stare at him. “You told him I asked to remove the word ‘obey’
from my wedding vows?”
Sitting
back, he took a swallow of his coffee. “Not exactly. I mentioned how the
changes that occurred in Arthur after you’d married him had left you uneasy and
uncertain about marrying me, and asked if he had any recommendations.”
“What
did he say?”
“That
showing was better than talking.”

In this scene, which occurs in Chapter Five, Eleanor Benson (Elly) has made more than a few mistakes, one of which results in her throat being injured when she experiences another run in with her ex-husband. Not permitted to talk until the doctor gives her permission, Elly is reduced to communicating with a white board. With her wedding to Jerry scheduled to take place in three days, Elly refuses to spend one more night in the guest bedroom.
Knowing Jerry will do nothing to address their issues until after she's been cleared by their physician, Elly decides to confront the matter the only way she knows how. Head on. Jerry gives Elly a chance to avoid the inevitable by ordering her to pick up her board one last time, but she stubbornly refuses to comply, so he makes good on his promise. When she finally gives in, Jerry wants to make sure she understands he's serious about her health, and that further disobedience will only get her in worse trouble. So, after he finishes administering her spanking, he tells her she deliberately sought to make him angry and she succeeded, so without further ado he grabs her arm and orders her to follow him to the corner where he places both hands on her head and orders her nose to the wall. However, when Elly appears more distressed than usual by his discipline, Jerry does what he can to reassure her.
Elly’s
tears stopped flowing as she nestled her head against his chest and took comfort
from his presence. When her gasps were reduced to small hitches, he gently
pushed her back a few inches and ran a thumb beneath her eyes to wipe away her
remaining tears. ‘Much better, but I still want you to stand in the corner and
think about what you did.”
Elly
slumped and groaned.
“Now,
enough of that. Turn around, hands on your head and nose in the corner.”
With a
few last sniffs, Elly did as ordered. Her bottom still throbbed with her
heartbeat, and nothing was resolved, but after his comforting, she felt
immeasurably better.
“Good
girl. I won’t be long, but I want you to remain in position until I release
you. Nod your agreement, please.”
She
gave another nod.
“Perfect.
You’re going to have an even larger set of lines to complete today, but this
time I’m going to want your sentences to be an apology rather than a promise to
do better. So, think what you’d like to say to me while I finish putting our
breakfast together.”

Frisky Friday - 6/3/16 - Past Interference - Jerry prepares Elly #DD #Anal
It's Frisky Friday! Yay! And I'm sharing an excerpt from my new spanking novella in the Corbin's Bend series, Past Interference, the sequel to A Simple Misunderstanding. Past Interference is part of the Corbin's Bend Valentine's Day collection "Love in the Rockies," and is not being sold separately.
What she needed was the opposite of what she wanted.
In this scene, which begins Chapter 7, Elly and Jerry are due to be married in a couple of days and Elly is suffering from severe misgivings. Not about Jerry. She loves him to pieces, but she loved her first husband, too, until he changed into a person she no longer recognized on their wedding night.
Elly's first husband abused her terribly, but he took special delight in hurting her anally. Jerry has decided the best way to prove to Elly that he's not like her husband, is to show her, and he starts things off by giving her a massage with caramel popcorn scented oil, then pleasures her with his mouth until she nearly comes. At that point, he stops and orders her to turn over. Far from ready to experience what he intends next, Elly refuses. Unfortunately, earlier in the evening they'd established a rule that the word no isn't in Elly's vocabulary, and using it will earn her a punishment.
To prove he's serious, Jerry begins to count. For every number he calls, Elly gets one swat. If he reaches five, he'll get the hairbrush. If he reaches ten, he'll fetch the Corbin's Bend paddle. Caught between bad and worse, Elly tries to dissuade him, but he continues to count, and reaches four before she capitulates by rolling over. With an agreed count of four, Jerry administers her spanking then begins her massage. Elly is starting to relax when Jerry increases the intimacy of his stroking and instructs her to tuck her knees beneath her and get up on all fours. Though Elly isn't at all certain she's ready for what Jerry intends, he remains firm as he prepares her for anal intercourse.
Her
protest emerged as a mumbled ‘ugh,’ but she did as she was told and his finger
slipped in a little further, stretching her more than was comfortable. An
unexpected cramp indicated her rectum was unpleasantly full and needed to be
emptied. Afraid her bowels would disgrace her, Elly clenched again, but he
persisted with a steady in-and-out movement that her body slowly recognized.
Unable to help herself, Elly responded by lifting her hips.
“That’s a
girl. Feels good, doesn’t it? Ride the wave, sweetheart.
Her mind
and body at war, Elly tried shutting off her brain to allow her senses full
reign. Jerry’s soft encouragement urged her toward acceptance until a slight
stirring of pleasure took bloom and he withdrew, shifted and pushed in again.
This time the stretching grew into a painful reminder both her mind and body
instantly resisted.
“Ox!” she
called, panting through the burn. Jerry promptly stilled his movements for a
moment before proceeding at a much slower pace.
“What did
you do?” Elly demanded, getting up on her hands to look back at him.
“Head
down, Elly.”
Though his
tone didn’t brook disobedience, her body opposed his intentions. “But —”
“You heard
me young lady. My instructions are not open to debate.”
Groaning
in protest, Elly resumed her position, then tucked her head beneath her arms to
hold it in place. Jerry could be so bossy at times, and her butt paid the price
if she didn’t listen. And right now, it
was consumed by an aching burn.

talking gently as he rubbed her back and shoulders. “Shh. You’re safe, sweetie,
but I want you to think about what you did and what you hoped to gain. We’re
not going to talk about Monday until Dr. Devon gives you permission to use your
voice. I’ve told you that many times already. So, pushing and prodding me will
only get you in trouble.” He hugged her close. “I love you, Elly, but I’m not
always happy about the decisions you make. Nod if you understand.”
She
nodded again. “Good,” he murmured, drawing her even closer.
