Welcome to the first Sneak Peek Sunday of June.  For Sneak Peek Sunday we share six paragraphs from a published work or a WIP (work in progress).

My submission for this week is from my 3rd book, Arrested by Love.  A handsome, but strict, police officer  decides a spoiled socialite needs a special lesson in obeying the law.

Tiffany Morgan has been in love with Kyle Sinclair since she was ten years old, when he'd turned her over his knee for attempting to swim in a raging white water river. Though she'd been furious with him at the time, Tiffany never told her family what Kyle did. Instead, she began trailing after him like an annoying younger sister as she tried to gain his attention.

Now, eleven years later, Kyle, a patrol officer, is finding it much more difficult to maintain his distance from the irresistible and vivacious redhead who continues to invent ingenious ways to attract his interest. Though he dismissed her initial attraction to him as infatuation, as she grew-up, his own feelings of desire and protectiveness deepened. So, despite his constant struggle to resist the spirited little minx's lures, Kyle finally has to admit that he is losing the battle--badly.

After Kyle makes it clear to Tiffany that speeding will earn her much more than a ticket from him, he gives into the inevitable and asks her out on a date.  He loves her, but isn't sure he's the right guy for her.  However, he no longer fights the attraction between them as he takes her dancing.

            Holding her close, almost in a cuddle on the dance floor, Kyle handled Tiffany gently, but with the firm assurance of a man who knew how women liked to be touched.

            He danced with both of his hands resting at the small of her back, and his arms securely wrapped around her waist.  Not so tightly she couldn't pull away if she wished to, but with enough pressure to let her know he was there and he would and could protect her if it became necessary.

            Those same hands had severely spanked her just a few days ago.  She appreciated their firm strength then, but now she luxuriated in the way they rested against her, just above the area he'd so thoroughly punished when he took her over his knee.  His firm domination combined with his gentle handling had her panties soaked so badly, she was afraid she'd embarrass herself.

            When he'd determined their date was over he took her home, gave her a warm and sexy kiss at the door, then waited until she was safely inside and he'd said good-bye to her parents before he turned and left.

            Even though Tiffany really didn't want to admit it aloud, she realized she'd fallen head over heels in love with Kyle from the first time he'd spanked her, when she was only ten.  Once she realized he intended to paddle her, she'd been angry and outraged over his domineering stance and attitude.  She wasn't his little sister, and he had no right to handle her so strictly.

            She'd wailed and cried, and even threatened to tell her Daddy for his mistreatment of her.  Except she wasn't that badly hurt, only her pride was.  He clearly cared enough to risk punishing her for the foolish thing she'd done that had needlessly endangered her life.  And even though the spanking was painful, his cuddling and reassurance afterwards almost made the punishment worth it.  Enough so, she'd occasionally test the limits he set to see if he'd do it again, or if his words had all the substance of smoke.  Much to her surprise, delight, and occasional dismay for her very sore backside, he'd see to it that she had trouble sitting down if what she did could have proven hazardous to her safety or well-being.

Tiffany is an innocent, but she knows she wants Kyle, so she's laying out a plan to get him.

My submission for this week is from my first BDSM novel, A Dom's Dilemma, published by Blushing Books.  I'm picking up exactly where we left off last time.

In this scene, Jim, a former Texan who works as a police detective by day and lives and plays as a Dom by night, is in the Velvet Chains BDSM medical station working with his new submissive, Kelly Franklin.  When Kelly balks, Jim suspects fear, rather than brattiness, is responsible for her reaction.  After giving her repeated opportunities to tell him what's bothering her, he decides to continue with his original agenda.  However, when Kelly discovers he intends to give her an enema, her fear increases exponentially, which validates his suspicions, but doesn't address Kelly's lack of trust or stubborn refusal to submit.  So, after reminding his reluctant sub what BDSM is about, Jim gives her an ultimatum.  Say her safe word or submit.  Kelly agrees to do what he wants, but admits she really doesn't want to submit to an enema.

             "I know you don't, darlin'.  Believe me I can tell this is gonna be difficult for you."  He laid a hand over hers, and gave her fingers a gentle squeeze.  "But Kelly, doin' this will show me just how serious you are about wantin' to be my sub.  And it will make me very proud of you for doin' as I ask, even though it's somethin' you detest."  When she nodded in response, he tapped her nose.  "That's not a proper response, young lady.  You've been in BDSM long enough to know that."

            "Yes, Sir," she answered a little sullenly.

            "So, are we a 'go' then?"

            "Well, Sir, I wouldn't say we're full steam ahead, exactly.  More like a 'proceed with caution,' I think."

            He chuckled, then kissed her until she relaxed against him in total submission.  "It'll be a 'proceed with extreme care,' darlin', and lots of it, I promise."  With that, he lifted her up and carried her back to the medical station.

Jim's had enough to experience to accept why Kelly might not trust him enough yet to confide in him, but that doesn't mean he'll accept her disobedience, either.   So, either Kelly calls an end to their association by giving him  her safe word, or they're gonna do this his way.

After a six month separation, Peter Thorton decides to take matters into his own hands by making his famous wife, Kate, an offer she wouldn't refuse.  Plainly put, he wants her back and he intends to do whatever is necessary to achieve his goal, even if it means giving his stubborn, willful leading lady a daily reminder over his knee that she promised to obey him.

In this scene, which occurs in chapter six, Peter Thorton has just finished giving his wife, Kate, a relatively mild spanking for defying his instructions, and is preparing to make love to her for the first time in over two years.  Peter adores Kate, but he's not above teasing her a little before giving her what she wants and needs from him as he gently nibbles her into a writhing mass of desire.  However, given her injured knee, he also wants to ensure nothing they do aggravates her torn meniscus.

             Kate enjoyed Peter's teasing, but most of all she relished how he made her feel.  Cherished, desired, beautiful.  As the pleasurable sensations grew more insistent, Kate tried to raise her knees, but Peter gently restrained her.

My excerpt for this week is from my 2nd book, Deadly Enchantment.  A shapeshifting wizard romance set in Victorian England published by New Concepts Publishing, 

In this snippet, which occurs near the end of the first Chapter, Dominic Westcroft has returned from London to discover his sister has invited several young women to his home, so he can select a new bride.  Except, Dominic has no intention of ever marrying again.  However, when he suspects one of their guests possesses magical abilities she's trying to keep hidden, he decides to have the ladies join him for dinner, so he can rout her out.  Once his guests have recovered from the walking soup tureen,  the carving utensils begin hacking away at their entree.  The golden-brown goose rose on its sturdy hind legs and began flapping its crispy little wings as it attempted to escape being carved into serving bits, causing a few of the women to cry out in dismay at the carnage.  Realizing Westcroft's intent, Serena called an end to the charade by announcing herself.

            The chaos came to an abrupt end.  The bird returned to its serving platter, the cutlery fell harmlessly to the table and the vegetables lay inert as normal vegetables were wont to do.

            Dominic Westcroft rose.  “So, our little sorceress reveals herself at last.  I wondered what it would take to get you to step forward.”

            “You’re mad,” Serena countered, knowing it wasn’t wise to rile a person who’d lost all semblance of reason, but unable to think of anything else to say in response to his accusation.

            “Not quite yet, my dear.  Though I’ve been assured that the journey isn’t a long one for me.”  Then he raised his hands and shot a bolt of energy that knocked Serena back into her chair and momentarily robbed her of breath.  The sensation was similar to a hard shove.  Not painful exactly, but by no means gentle either.

            The women, who had remained conscious, including Katherine, all scrambled to get away from him.  They collectively ran to the doors leading to the hallway only to discover the wooden portals were locked.  Like Serena, they were trapped in the room with the Wizard of the West.

            “What, no response?” he queried Serena mockingly.  “Surely you can do better than hiss at me like an enraged kitten.”

Dominic Westcroft has caught the mouse with his trap, now he intends to expose her for the deceitful liar he takes her to be.

  In this scene, near the beginning of the book, Kyle, a traffic patrol officer, has pulled over a young woman for speeding in a school zone.  Tiffany has been in love with Kyle since she was ten, so this isn't the first time she's faced the strict police officer because of some prank she's pulled.  It's not even the first time she's been caught speeding, which means she's spent a fair amount of time over his knees.  Even so, Kyle is prepared to let her go with a warning and a ticket until she propositions him.  Angry, partly because he's tempted to accept her bribe, Kyle decides to offer her a choice.  She can either spend a night in jail, or place herself over his lap and receive a harsh spanking for her reckless driving.  Though Tiffany agrees to Kyle's punishment, she's scared.  He's never been so strict with her before and she fears this spanking will be unbearable.  After he takes a moment to reassure her of his love, he decides it's time to get down to business and orders her to lower her panties.

            Kyle considered tucking her legs beneath his right thigh, then decided against further restraint at this time with the full understanding that it could well prove necessary later.  Since he intended to make this a long and very painful session for his girl.

            "Skirt needs to be raised above your waist," he reminded, arms at his sides.

            After letting out another little sob, she shifted and squirmed on his lap until her skirt was raised and her bottom was completely exposed to him, then she lay back down.

            She was being a very good girl, so he lightly rubbed her for a moment in order to get her to relax a little.  If she could keep from tensing her muscles, the spanking wouldn't be nearly as painful or intense for her.  However, he knew from experience that asking or expecting her to relax in that way was practically impossible.

 

Kyle doesn't like the thought of hurting Tiffany, though he knows he has to if he's to make any progress in curbing her impulsive behavior.

My post for this Wednesday is from my 4th book, A Dom's Dilemma, an erotic BDSM/spanking novel published by Blushing Books.  Kelly and Jim, the two main characters, were secondary characters in Arrested by Love.  Though this story stands on its own, if you read Arrested by Love, you'll most likely recognize some of the scenes, since we see a little bit of Kyle and Tiffany in this book, too.

For this selection on Horny Hump Day, I'm continuing the scene in A Dom's Dilemma where Jim is making love to Kelly for the first time.  Though a little nervous, Kelly has been wanting Jim for a few days, and is eager to have him.  However, when Jim unzips his jeans, Kelly begins to grow uncertain.  Jim instantly recognizes the wariness in her expression, and even teases her a bit while he carefully gauges the changes in her expression. When she's finally able to accept all of him, he gives her permission to come when she's ready.

He felt her climax flooding her passageway when she came.  He was almost there himself, and gave three more deep thrusts before his body erupted with the huge release he'd been hungering for since he first saw her.  Unable to suppress his muted yell of satisfaction and relief, he held absolutely still while his dick pulsed in time with the contractions of her waning orgasm.  Not wanting to leave the warm haven he found inside her, but knowing they needed to talk, he grabbed the edge of the towel and lifted it as he pulled out of her.

Jim is into control, not pain, and he wants Kelly to find pleasure in sex, but the Dom in him refuses to let her take the lead.  Things happen his way, and on his terms.  End of story.  All the same, sometimes a sub needs her Dom to reassure her that she is both desired and desirable.

Sneak Peek Sunday is a weekly excerpt hop where each author shares six paragraphs from a published work or a WIP (work in progress).

My submission for this week is from my 1st book, Mortal Illusions. A vampire romance published by New Concepts Publishing, Mortal Illusions is currently the first in a series of 3 books.  Its sequel, Fatal Desire, is currently under production.

In this excerpt, which is the beginning of the first chapter, Germaine St. Justine has sensed his former lover's pain and visits her in the hospital in an effort to ease her suffering.  After some gentle teasing combined with a soothing back rub, he gently bites her neck and draws out a few seconds worth of blood, then uses a hypodermic needle to withdraw blood from his arm.  Germaine adamantly refuses to make another vampire, but he doesn't want Marguerite to suffer.  Unfortunately, she wants more than he is willing to give her.

            A brief look of disappointment creased Marguerite's forehead.  Germaine presumed it was because he couldn't give her any details about the show when she said, "I don't think you know just how much I'd like to be able to go with you tomorrow night, André  . . . Sorry, Germaine."

            A tidal wave of regret washed over Germaine as he recalled how she'd urged him to do this musical nearly twenty years ago, when he'd started investing in Broadway productions again.  But he couldn't grant her wish, no matter how deeply it hurt him to deny her.  Feeling his conscience war with his guilt, he said teasingly, "If you continue to call me André, your family will begin to doubt your sanity.  André would have to be about fifty-five now I think."

            "Fifty-three, the same age as me, but who's counting?"  She glanced down at his strong hand that remained, like the rest of him, at the permanent age of thirty.  She had been that young when they parted.  "I'm dying, André," she admitted, her fingers gripping his in an unspoken plea.  "We both knew this time would come eventually, but I'm not ready for it--not now, not yet."

            "Marguerite--"

            "Don't.  There's nothing you can say.  There is something you could do--only you, damn your golden eyes, refuse to do it."  She blinked back her tears.  "Not all of us have eternity to live out our lives, André.  And some of us feel cheated when our time is cut short."

            "Don't do this, Magpie," he pleaded, gathering her into his arms.  "Don't cry."  Then, before she could say more, he kissed her deeply, much in the same way he used to kiss her twenty-three years ago.  For him, the time span was no longer than an eye blink, and her impassioned response made it seem even shorter.  They were both so engrossed in the moment that neither cared nor drew apart when the door opened.  At the sound of an enraged gasp, however, Germaine started to tactfully withdraw when a furious female verbally accosted him.

Marguerite knows her former lover won't go against his principles, but she has personal reasons for asking him about the show he's producing.

            "How long?" she asked, looking doubtful.

            "As long as you need, darlin'.  And, as a reward, I'll tell you anythin' you want to know about me as we sit together, though I'll want to know lots about you, too.  It'll be a regular party peppered with lots of lovin' affection."

            She glanced down at her clenched fingers.  "I really don't want to do this, Sir."

Jim's had enough to experience to accept why Kelly might not trust him enough yet to confide in him, but that doesn't mean he'll accept her disobedience, either.   So, either Kelly calls an end to their association by giving him  her safe word, or they're gonna do this his way.
