In Chapter Four, Kyle Sinclair, a traffic patrol officer, has just proposed to the girl he's secretly loved, but avoided for years. He knows Tiffany Morgan has been infatuated with him since she was a little girl, but she came from a much higher social strata than his public school/middle class upbringing associated with. However, what the heart wants isn't always in line with what society deems appropriate.

Having finally overcome his doubts, Kyle gets down on one knee and presents Tiffany with a ring only to have her dissolve into tears before him. Confused, he starts to question her only to discover she'd lied for the past month about staying within the budget he'd set for her. Relieved her dismay wasn't the result of a more serious issue, but angry she'd thought lying to him was a more acceptable course than admitting failure, he gives her a choice. She can either accompany him quietly without fuss or whining, or they can stop seeing each other for a year.

Tiffany can't believe he'd stop seeing her simply because she'd overspent her budget, but Kyle promptly informs her he's not punishing her for overspending, but for lying and refusing to accept the consequences of her deceit. So, after driving to a secluded spot, he escorts her over to a fallen log where he orders her to remove her skirt and underwear and take her position. Halfway through, Kyle gives Tiffany a break so she can pull herself together.

  If he'd been a little more observant, he would have noticed she'd been less than truthful with him from the beginning. And even though she wasn't a particularly good liar, he'd wanted to believe her, so he had.

Next time, and hopefully there wouldn't be a next time, he would pay closer attention to her silent signals so they could avoid this. Although he suspected his little darling was a bit of a minx who was going to continually find herself in this position for one prank or another. For now, however, he was attempting to dissuade her from ever lying to him again.

When she finally fell silent and her breathing came in small little catches, he firmed his hand on her back. "Only five more, Tiff, and we're done. You're being a very good girl, and though I am disappointed you lied to me, I am very proud of the way you've conducted yourself this afternoon."

That made her cry a little harder. Even so, he knew his words would actually help ease her inner pain. "Kyle?" she asked again as her body began to relax under his gentle stroking.

"Yes?" he replied, willing to wait a few moments longer before he started again.

"Do you think you'll ever be able to forgive me?"

"Darling, when this is over you will have already been forgiven. That's exactly what this is about. Once we're done here, nothing more will be said, unless you wish to talk about it."

"Thank you," she answered softly and her sincerity invoked an instinctively protective response within him. Clearing his throat with a cough, he said, "Begin again at twenty, please."

 

Kyle doesn't like hurting Tiffany, though he knows he has to take her in hand if he's to make any progress in curbing her impulsive behavior. As his wife, she won't have the financial freedom to spend money in the way she's used to doing. He doesn't expect her to be perfect, and fully accepts she will overspend from time to time, but he needs her to understand that it's much better for her to own up to her mistakes than try to hide them beneath lies.

            "Good. Now I want you to take a deep breath and try to relax a bit more. You're doing very well, and I'm proud of you for accepting this with so little fuss. I know it's not easy. Now take another deep breath for me, Tiff." She obeyed. "Good. Now, relax and give me all your weight. I can hold you, so don't worry about being too heavy for me." She took another deep breath and he felt her body grow limp." "Very good." Then he raised his hand and brought it down hard. She jerked and cried out.

            "Count, Tiff," he reminded.

            Dutifully, she replied, "One."

            He made the first ten count the most, so by the time she cried out the number ten, she was sobbing so hard she had trouble saying the word. He paused and simply rubbed her backside for a moment. She let out a small whimper of pain, and her flesh felt quite warm to him, but she was handling her pain well, and he really was proud of her for accepting her chastisement without complaint, or swearing.

            "Only fifteen more to go," he reminded, and heard a choked sob in response. He continued to lightly rub her for a few minutes longer, then said, "Begin at sixteen, please, Tiffany," as he brought down his hand again.

            He made the next ten not quite as hard as the first set. Despite easing up, he was still being far from gentle with her, since, this time he'd decided to speed up the tempo of his strokes, which also made it difficult for her to keep count with him. However, he wanted this over and done with as quickly as possible. When she finally squawked out "Twenty," he stopped and took another break.

            This time she was having trouble catching her breath, so he bent over and spoke as near to her ear as he could reach with her on his lap this way. "Breathe, Tiff," he urged and was rewarded with pain-filled gasp then open sobbing. "Good girl," he praised, and he meant it.

            Once she was able to speak, she just kept repeating how very sorry she was, and he believed her. He gave her irritated skin a minute to settle down before he started stroking her again. Though she initially arched against his hand with a small cry of pain, he knew the petting would eventually soothe her, so he kept his caresses light. Her bottom was much warmer now than it had been earlier, and yet the flesh was no pinker than a light blush of embarrassment. He'd taken care not to be too harsh with her this time. Yes, she'd lied, and that was a grievous offense, but she hadn't placed her life in jeopardy with her deceit.

            Laying herself gingerly over his lap, she gave one small sob once she was settled. He placed his left hand on the middle of her back to steady her, then ran his right hand repeatedly over her buttocks to settle her to his touch. She was tense, and he needed her to relax a little more so this punishment wouldn't end up being more painful than he intended. "We didn't discuss how many swats you think you deserve for what you did, Miss Morgan. So, what would you say is a fair number?"

            Her breath coming in small hitches now, she didn't respond right away. He suspected she would go for the minimum of ten. So, she surprised him when she said, "Twenty-five."

            "A very good number," he praised, "and I concur. So, twenty-five it is then. Have you anything you wish to say to me before we begin?"

            Another small sob, then she said, "I'm truly sorry for lying to you, Kyle. I won't do it again. I promise."

            "Yes. Well that is what I am here now to ensure. Correct?" he asked, aware that his voice was huskier than usual, He really didn't like the thought of hurting her, and it bothered him that she had forced his hand like this. Literally.

            "Yes, sir," she replied meekly, a sure sign she was feeling very guilty about her actions. She only called him "sir" when she knew she was in serious trouble.

            "Good." He continued to just rub her smooth flesh until he felt her relax despite her unease. "This time I want you to count each stroke out loud. Do you think you can do that?"

            "I don't know," she admitted with tearful honesty.

            "Very well, I can accept that. However, I want you to at least try. As a penalty, if I decide you're simply stalling between calling out the numbers in order to delay your punishment, I may find it necessary for us to start over again from the beginning."

            She gave a small gasp, and tensed at that, but he pretended not to notice as he continued his gentle rubbing. When he still didn't begin, he heard her ask, "Kyle?"

            "Yes?"

            "Do you still love me?"

            "If I didn't we wouldn't be here now. Do you understand what I mean by that?"

            "Yes, sir."

WIPitUP Wednesday - 1/17/18 - Arrested by Love - Tiffany learns brattiness carries consequences #DD #OfficerRomance

WIP: Work in progress.  WIP it up Wednesday is a hop where writers share portions of the project they're working on with readers.  I really like the idea because it allows me to share something that's still in the creative stage as well as work behind the scenes as a prompt to keep me writing. Unfortunately, I don't have anything ready to share, yet. So, today I've decided to post from my first spanking novel "Arrested by Love."  And, if you sign up for my newsletter, you can get a copy of the book for free.

In Arrested by Love, Kyle and Tiffany have been having problems, but they are attempting a reconciliation after Kyle basically kidnapped her from her home, with her father's grudging approval, and drove her to see a doctor. Tiffany had become very ill during their separation and Kyle is determined to take care of her in every way she needs. Though Tiffany isn't a true submissive, she is trying to smooth things over with Kyle, so she's working hard to keep her bratty tendencies at bay. However, there's only so much a girl can do, and after reminding her she might be pregnant, Kyle makes things worse by threatening her with a spanking if she doesn't behave more responsibly. Her pride wounded by the suspicion she doesn't matter as much as the possible fetus in her womb, Tiffany launches herself at him and begins hitting and slapping. Struggling to keep his temper in check, Kyle gives her the spanking he promised then puts her back in her chair. Humiliated and furious, Tiffany runs into their bedroom, slams the door and locks it. Kyle gives her a few minutes to calm down before he convinces her that locking him out isn't going to solve anything.

She'd stopped crying, or at least sobbing, so he opened the door slowly in case she chose to lob something at him. She was seated on the bed, glaring at him, but her lower lip trembled, which meant there was a bit of apprehension behind all that righteous anger.

He stepped into the room and shut the door. She didn't try to back away, so he moved closer.

"What are you going to do?" she asked, more than a little nervously.

"For the moment, I intend to sit beside you, pull you onto my lap, and give you some hugs and kisses. Would you like that?"

She nodded, but the tears started again. So, he sat down beside her and pulled her into his arms. "I'm sorry," she wailed again.

"Shh, sweetie. It's all right, and it's over. I'm not sure why you wanted me to spank you, but you clearly needed me to take a firm stand, so I did."

"What makes you think I wanted a spanking?" she asked with a sniff.

"Because you didn't back down when I warned you to."

"I was angry with you."

"I know you were. But, whether you know it or not, when you start to get bratty and sass me, you are demanding I put you over my knee."

 

Kyle enjoys Tiffany's sass to a point. The fact that she's feeling better has him in a much better mood. And though he's insisting on maintaining a DD relationship with his girl, he gives her as much leeway as his dominance will allow. However, his patience does have limits, and she needs to be more adult now that they suspect she is pregnant. So, her petulant little girl attitude carries consequences.

After he'd poured a bowl of cereal and a glass of juice for her, he went and knocked on the bedroom door. "Tiffany?"

"Go away," she shouted, sounding more like a petulant child than a twenty-one-year-old woman.

"No. I'm staying." He tried the door handle. It was locked, so he took three more deep breaths. She had locked him out of his own bedroom. All right, their bedroom, but still...

"Tiffany, I'm going to give you until the count of three to unlock this door. If you refuse to do it by then, I will break it down, and you will get twenty more much harder swats than the ones I gave you in the kitchen. Do you understand me?"

"Just go away," she repeated on a sob. "I don't want to talk to you."

"Maybe not, but you are going to, young lady. And I'm not leaving this door until you've unlocked it. Furthermore, I'm going to call someone in to remove all the locks from the doors in this apartment, since I seem to be living with a cranky little girl who uses them inappropriately. You have until three, Tiffany. One."

"You can't threaten to solve every problem and issue we have by turning me over your knee."

"Actually, it's worked pretty well in the past. And I don't believe in fixing things that don't appear to be broken." He heard the door being unlocked but waited to let her settle herself before he entered.

 

Kyle enjoys Tiffany's sass to a point. The fact that she's feeling better has him in a much better mood. In this scene, Kyle and Tiffany have gotten comfortable with each other. Almost too comfortable, which is why when Tiffany lay replete and satisfied at his side, Kyle decided to make sure she recalled how to call a halt to their play if things got too intense for her by rolling her onto her stomach and whaling on her backside.

           "What do you say to get me to stop?" he prompted, his voice sounding strained. He was in the processing of delivering his tenth swat, which was harder and much more painful than any swat he'd given her before, when she screamed, "Apple!"

He immediately released her, rolled onto his back, and flexed the fingers of the hand he'd used to paddle her.

"Why did you do that?" she demanded, trying to stop crying, yet unable to prevent her choked sobs.

He drew her into his arms and held her. "God, Tiff. Why did it take you so long to call out the only word that would get me to stop?"

"I forgot about it!" she wailed, smacking him hard in the chest. "You could have reminded me in other ways, you bastard!" she cried, striking him again.

He reached down to grab both her fists in one hand. Angry and scared, she’d started to bring her knee up to get him where it really hurt, when he yelled, "That's enough, Tiffany Anne!"

She instantly stilled then cursed at him again.

Tiffany trusted Kyle, so she didn't understand why she needed a safe word, but even though Tiffany wasn't a submissive, Kyle's past was firmly entrenched in the BDSM world. And as such, he needed to make sure she understood the rules he lived by.

Even though he'd decided against using it, he wasn't above scaring her a little before he discarded it. She stood before him in her blouse and shoes, her small frame trembling slightly. Next, he noticed a small patch of red hair peeking out from beneath her shirt and felt a surge of lust, which merely served to increase his anger. He had hoped to finally make love to her this evening, but it looked like that would be off the agenda tonight as well.

            Setting the switch on the ground, he crooked an index finger at her. She winced, but walked over to stand beside him until her knees touched his with barely a moment's hesitation. He patted his lap. "You should know the drill by now, Tiffany. Take your position, please."

            She let out a tiny gasp, and he knew she was afraid, but she also knew better than to try to dissuade him. Looked like his threat of year's separation had had its intended effect.

Welcome to the Saturday Spankings blog hop.  My stories are all M/f with the dominant male determined to protect the woman he cares for and loves, or grows to love, by doing whatever it takes to ensure her safety and continued health.  This includes administering a spanking when necessary.

My submission for this week is from my first spanking novel, Arrested by Love, published by Blushing Books.

  In Chapter Four, Kyle Sinclair, a traffic patrol officer, has just proposed to the girl he's secretly loved, but avoided for years. He knows Tiffany Morgan has been infatuated with him since she was a little girl, but she came from a much higher social strata than his public school/middle class upbringing associated with. However, what the heart wants isn't always in line with what society deems appropriate.

Having finally overcome his doubts, Kyle gets down on one knee and presents Tiffany with a ring only to have her dissolve into tears before him. Confused, he starts to question her only to discover she'd lied for the past month about staying within the budget he'd set for her. Relieved her dismay wasn't the result of a more serious issue, but angry she'd thought lying to him was a more acceptable course than admitting failure, he gives her a choice. She can either accompany him quietly without fuss or whining, or they can stop seeing each other for a year.

Tiffany can't believe he'd stop seeing her simply because she'd overspent her budget, but Kyle promptly informs her he's not punishing her for overspending, but for lying and refusing to accept the consequences of her deceit. So, after driving to a secluded spot, he orders her to choose and prepare an appropriate branch for him to use as a switch.

            Whether or not he chose to use the branch she'd prepared was another matter. He had no wish to cause her injury, only to teach her a lesson. So, he still needed to decide on the best way to accomplish that. What would make the most indelible impression on that devious little butt of hers? What would make her truly regret what she did, and ensure she never did it again?

            Grabbing the bottle of lotion he kept in the car, he shoved it deep inside his pocket. He knew she hated it, except it helped reduce the impact of his chosen punishment, so she would have to accept it. It also meant he could do nothing to break her skin. Not that he wanted to, but if he tried to rub that stuff on an open wound, she'd be screaming through next week. Opening his car door, he got out and walked over to where she stood.

            "Remove your skirt and underwear now, please," he ordered taking a seat on the log.

 

Kyle doesn't like hurting Tiffany, though he knows he has to take her in hand if he's to make any progress in curbing her impulsive behavior. As his wife, she won't have the financial freedom to spend money in the way she's used to doing. He doesn't expect her to be perfect, and fully accepts she will overspend from time to time, but he needs her to understand that it's much better for her to own up to her mistakes than try to hide them beneath lies.
