#FriskyFriday - 1/16/15 - Arrested by Love - Through sickness and health #DD #SpankingRomance

He caught her speeding in a school zone and decided she needed to learn even civil disobedience could have very painful consequences.

Another Friday, another excerpt to launch you into your weekend.  For this Frisky Friday I am sharing a bit from my 3rd book, Arrested by Love.  A handsome, but strict, police officer decides a spoiled socialite needs a special lesson in obeying the law.

Tiffany Morgan has been in love with Kyle Sinclair since she was ten years old, when he'd turned her over his knee for attempting to swim in a raging white water river. Though she'd been furious with him at the time, Tiffany never told her family what Kyle did. Instead, she began trailing after him like an annoying younger sister as she tried to gain his attention.

Now, eleven years later, Kyle, a patrol officer, is finding it much more difficult to maintain his distance from the irresistible and vivacious redhead who continues to invent ingenious ways to attract his interest. Though he dismissed her initial attraction to him as infatuation, as she grew-up, his own feelings of desire and protectiveness deepened. So, despite his constant struggle to resist the spirited little minx's lures, Kyle finally has to admit that he is losing the battle--badly.

The following section occurs about two-thirds through the book.  Kyle and Tiffany have been separated for several weeks.  She's refusing to see him after catching him in a lie, and her family has circled the wagons around her.  Recently, Kyle learned Tiffany isn't doing well, so he decides to conduct a stake out near her home when he spots the family leaving the house.  Tiffany is so weak, she can barely stand by herself.  His protective instincts rushing to the fore, Kyle promptly intervenes. Her father allows it for now, but informs Kyle if Tiffany prefers to be back home, he will do everything in his power to get her back.  Kyle doesn't expect anything less as he carries Tiffany to his car and drives her to the doctor.

Kyle parked the car, then walked around to get Tiffany.  She'd actually fallen asleep.  So he carefully undid her seat belt, then lifted her into his arms.  She weighed next to nothing and he got the brief impression she was simply wasting away.
She woke up as he started to carry her and put her hand over her mouth.  "Kyle.  I think I'm going to be sick again."
"Breathe through your nose," he ordered.  "And try to relax.  When was the last time you had something to eat?"
"I haven't felt up to eating much for several weeks now.  Please, I really think I need you to put me down."
"We're almost there.  I'll take you into the restroom first, if you want."
"You can't go into the ladies room with me!"  She sounded scandalized.
"Honey.  Right now, you are not going anywhere without me.  If you need to throw up, I'm going to be right there beside you.  Here we are," he said, pushing his way into the ladies room.  Carrying Tiffany into a stall, he slowly and carefully let her down until her feet were flat on the floor.  Then he held her arms and watched her."

Tiffany is furious with Kyle, but at the moment she is so ill, even glaring at him takes more energy than she has, but Kyle is not about to be deterred from making sure they find out what's wrong so she can get better.

  1. Oh dear, Tiffany is in a bad way. Love how Kyle takes care of her in this scene and isn't phased about going into the ladies bathroom.
