Guest Post - Thianna D. - Chemistry of Attraction - A Dominant Marine #CorbinsBend #Spanking

Thianna D. is here to talk about her newest Corbin's Bend release.  This one includes a dominant, who's a retired Marine, a recently graduated Chemistry major, and a lot of spanking.

Chemistry of Attraction

Take one hot summer. Add in an intellectual chemist and a dominant retired Marine. Once the chemistry ignites, combustion is soon to follow.

Which body part would you choose to get a tattoo done?

I’m deathly afraid of needles, so I doubt I’ll ever do it, but for years I have wanted to get a tat of a dragon on my right shoulder. I know exactly what it would look like and have even gone and talked to a Tattoo artist about it. But hearing it would take a minimum of 2 3-hour sessions to get it done? Yeah, I don’t see that happening.

Would probably take more than two 3-hour sessions

Chemistry of Attraction

Retired Marine Brandon Delt, moves to Corbin’s Bend after his recently divorced wife marries his cousin. Tired of living a non-discipline lifestyle, he fully welcomes the openness of the Corbin’s Bend spanking community. One day he hopes to meet the woman he could make his TiH. He doesn’t expect to meet her on day one.

Carodine Minor’s just in Corbin’s Bend for the summer. Just graduated with her master’s degree in chemistry, Dina isn’t sure of her next step in life. Not once has she ever considered being spanked. Logical woman that she is, when she finds herself intrigued by the idea of a hand across her derriere, she asks for a demonstration from Brandon. One demo turns into a wild night of passion neither wants to let go of.

Take one hot summer. Add in an intellectual chemist and a dominant retired Marine. Once the chemistry ignites, combustion is soon to follow.

Excerpt:
There was a momentary silence and then one of his hands rested on her lower back and the other lifted. Slap! His hand came down harder than this afternoon, heat sizzling in its wake. Before she even felt the warmth that bloomed from it, he hit her other cheek. Back and forth he went, covering her entire derriere with hard slaps until her entire rear end felt like a light sunburn.

But she didn’t care. Each smack of his hand lit up something inside of her, something primal, raw, animalistic. Arching her back, she growled softly when his hand slammed right between her cheeks. Each slap produced its own sound, but she barely heard them, her left brain utterly fascinated by the sounds coming out of her own mouth. When his hand came down on that sensitive crease between buttocks and thighs, her logical brain blanked out. What remained was wanton, needy, and craving everything the man at her side could give her.

“More!” she cried out as he hit her sit spot again. Her entire body felt like a coiled spring and she so wanted to be sprung. All she needed was just a few more. Just a few more. Please, just a few more.

Brandon had other plans. “Spread your legs,” he commanded and she rushed to obey, not wanting him to stop. “Fuck, you’re so wet, beauty,” he murmured, the fingers of his spanking hand drifting between her legs, stroking along her clit and delving into her core.

“More,” she whimpered as those wonderfully strong, large fingers began to fuck her, rubbing against something that made her arch more and let out a low keen. So close. She was so close. It wouldn’t take much more to send her over. Damn, he—

Smack!

As his hand that had been on her lower back came down right on her rump, the world exploded. Lights burst in front of her eyes even as her cunt spasmed and she opened her mouth in a silent scream. Her muscles clenched and squeezed, pulling her through the roughest orgasm she had ever felt.

And it wasn’t over yet.

Guest Post - Thianna D. - Chemistry of Attraction and Heroes whose names begin with "B" #CorbinsBend #SpankingRomance #DD

Chemistry of Attraction

Thanks so much, Kathryn, for having me over on A Writer’s Naughty Thoughts. It’s always great to be here. I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the fact Autumn is here. It might be the walnuts that are falling freely from our tree, or the cool, crisp mornings. Or, it might be the fact Fall always puts me in a romantic mood.

Does it to anyone else? It always puts me in mind of warm fires to snuggle in front of, a hay ride where you have to snuggle to keep warm…obviously it’s the snuggling season.

Now, to just find my man to snuggle with. Who would be the perfect man? I would say many of the heroes I write fall into that category, especially Brent from Finding Their Bliss. An alpha male who cares deeply for those he is in charge of. Oh, yes, and blond. Yum. Bane, in my paranormal BDSM book Bane of My Existence, is also my type. Dominant, enjoys an M/s relationship, kinky as hell… and a Fae – okay, so I like to dream big. Of course Brandon, the hero in my newest Corbin’s Bend book Chemistry of Attraction, also has those qualities. Well, most of them. He has no hair to speak off. *Grins* But he has all the mental and personality traits of the kind of alpha male I most feel comfortable with. Wonderful sense of humor, highly intelligent, dominant, top, spanko…Double Yum.

What is it with me and men’s names that start with the letter B? My three favorite alpha characters I’ve written and their names all start with B. Okay, so I had to go look it up. Interesting in that according to Numerology, people whose names start with B have the following characteristics:
·         B is the alphabetical equivalent of the number 2 which represents the emotions and duality. 2 is also the number of ‘love’ and this aspect one of the most important emotions for the B person. Partnerships are also very important to the B person.

·         People with the initial B are co-operative, courteous and are very considerate individuals. They have a tendency to be able to sense the feelings of others, with the knack to be able to demonstrate certain mediation skills when handling complicated situations. B’s know how to organize and handle people with care and ease. Peace and harmony are of the utmost importance to them.

·         A person with a B initial is friendly, caring and sharing and is generally a homebody. B names like to make a ‘nest’ for their family.

Huh – I can definitely see quite a few of those personality quirks in my B-alphas. Of course, now I’m going to have to search through my other heroes and see how they match up :)

Excerpt:
“Dina?” No response. Figuring that she was in the bathroom as the sliding door to it was closed, he threw back the sheet and blanket and stood up, stretching and wincing as the familiar ache from his legs hit him. Damnit. It would be one of those days. “Dina, want some coffee?” he called out, reaching down to pick up his clothes from where he’d thrown them the evening before. Just the thought of last night sent a zing of pleasure through him and his cock woke up with a jolt. Eyeing the door again, a slow smile crossed his face. Well, if she was in the shower, he could join her. Get her to let out that little wild animal in an enclosed space and see what happened.

As he dropped his clothes in the hamper, his eyes automatically scanned his room and he froze. Once again, he looked around. Not one piece of her clothing was on the floor. “Dina?” he called louder but again there was no response. Pushing the sliding door open to the bathroom, all he saw was an empty room. He quickly walked out into the combined kitchen and living room, but again – empty.

“Fuck,” he growled low in his throat. Dina’s problem was that she thought too much, and when it came to relationships, the girl instantly jumped to the wrong conclusion. “I hope she’s better at jumping to conclusions in science,” he grumbled as he turned to get dressed. If he had to, he would hound her until she talked to him. Even if she chose to walk away then, he would know he had done everything he could. But shit. Even the thought of not spending another passionate night with her was painful. Worse than the damned arthritis.

As he strode through the great room, something caught his eye and he halted turning toward his front door. A small note was taped to it and he walked over and ripped it off. Opening it up, he read the few words and shook his head. The girl had absolutely no clue how appealing she was. It was both attractive and annoying. How could she not know?

Guest Post - Thianna D. - Breathe Each Other In - Final Book in the All They Ever Needed trilogy #DD #GayRomance #Spanking

Thianna D. is here to share an excerpt from her newest release, "Breathe Each Other In," the third and final book in the All They Ever Needed Trilogy.

For Logan & Christian, one thing makes all the difference

While the outside world might try to undermine them, Logan and Christian’s relationship just grows stronger. In this, the final part of the All They Ever Needed trilogy, their lives take an unexpected turn.

Christian takes to heart everything he learns from Logan’s father and as he and Logan go forward in their DD relationship, he finds that he is willing to not just take on the mantle of Head of House, but to embrace it. With Logan graduating from college, Christian takes the next logical step and asks his boyfriend to move in.

Even with the stress of student teaching and trying to figure out what to do after graduation, Logan leaps at the chance to live with the man he loves. As the pressure of graduation begins to get to him, the only thing to keep him grounded is the amazing man at his side.

Those closest to them make huge changes in their own lives and when an unexpected job offer lands in Logan’s lap, the two have to make a life altering decision. No matter which way they go, they need to give something up. Play it safe and stay home or accept the job and move away from their families? When it comes to decision time, there is one thing they are not willing to part with. That one thing makes all the difference in the world.

Enjoy this little domestic discipline discussion between Christian and Logan’s father:

“Have you considered how you are going to start?” Gregory asked as they removed the last of the destroyed siding from his car.

“Start what?” Christian asked, his mind on the large piece of scrap metal in his hands.

“Your DD relationship with my son.”

Surprised, Christian placed the metal onto the heap and shook his head. “No. He won’t be home until June, so I figured we had plenty of time to figure that out.”

“True,” he said, walking around the car. “On the other hand, if you start before he comes home, you might find it easier to settle into your role.”

Well, there was a layer he hadn’t considered. “How do you do it long distance?” The confusion in his voice was evident, even to him. But Gregory never made him feel stupid for asking a question.

“It’s doing the same things. Setting boundaries and making sure he sticks to them. You will also want to choose a disciplinary action to use if he doesn’t.”

“What am I supposed to do, make him write lines?” Christian asked in amusement before remembering that Kimberley had mentioned she had to write lines a lot in the beginning of her and Gregory’s marriage.

“Possibly. Or make him stand in a corner and think about what he did.”

“How will I know he did it?”

“You stay on the phone with him. Believe me. Neither Kim nor Logan are good at covering their emotions. His voice will give him away. Plus, I know my son. If you tell him to stand in a corner, he might ask why, but if you insist, he’ll do it. Of course, you won’t see the glare he sends at the phone when he does so,” he added in amusement.

Spluttering a laugh, Christian walked over and crashed onto one of the sofas. “It all seems so simple and so impossibly difficult at the same time.”

“Yep. Both are true. And strangely enough, until you actually have to discipline him for something and he accepts it, you won’t really notice a difference. It will feel like you’re going through the motions. But that moment will come where you go, ‘ah, shit, I’m in charge.’ And it will change you in a really valid way. You’ll feel it, Logan will feel it, and your relationship will be better for it even though it felt like hell for those few minutes or hours.” Walking over, Gregory grabbed a couple sodas from the fridge and tossed him one. “And at the beginning you’ll second guess yourself a lot, Christian. It comes with the territory. But that first time the two of you butt heads?” He shook his head. “That moment when you wonder if you should continue down this road or give in? When you stick to your guns, not in a rough, mean way, but by continually plowing ahead, gently but firmly until he relents; that’s the moment you know what you got yourself into. And it feels amazing and a bit overwhelming. But most of all, it just feels right.”

Shaking his head, Christian drank half his soda quickly. “I think we’re on the right road and Logan is thrilled, but I’ve never done this before and—”

“Haven’t you?” he asked in amusement. “I saw you with my son in New York, Christian. You took control and you guided him out of his self-recrimination faster than I could have.”

“He still had you spank him.” The moment the words were out of his mouth, Christian regretted them. He never meant to bring them up, especially in that annoyed tone.

Chuckling, Gregory nodded as he leaned back. “Yes, I did. Do you know why?”

“He explained that he asked you to.”

“He did, and the two of you hadn’t gotten to the point where he could ask you.”

Startled, Christian looked up at him.

“Logan needed to let that go and I was the only one he thought could take that pain away. Believe me, Christian, those thoughts are changing. He sees you more as head of his house than he even did a couple months ago and he’s quite happy to have you do it. No matter if his ass gets paddled for it or not.”

About the author:

Thianna D is a writer of both het and m/m erotic romance. Most of her works include BDSM or DD. Logan and Christian brought together the domestic discipline way of life, spanking in an erotic context, and two amazing characters she loves very much. It is difficult to say goodbye to them as this is the final book in the trilogy. Thankfully she has a list of books she’s writing – that should help.

Took My Breath Away Book Tour Stop - It's Day 2 for Thianna D. #Spanking #GayRomance #BookTour

I'm excited to have Thianna D returning to "A Writer's Naughty Thoughts" with information about her new release Took My Breath Away the much looked for sequel to As Natural As Breathing.  Thianna appeared here back in August to discuss the first book.  If you want to see that post first, please click As Natural As Breathing.  And now I will place you into the talented hands of Thianna D.

Thanks Kathryn for hosting the Took My Breath Away Book Blog Tour today!

It's Day 2 of the Took My Breath Away Book Blog Tour and I'm excited to be over on Kathryn's A Writer's Naughty Thoughts Blog. (Well, who wouldn't?) If you miss any days of the book blog tour, you can find links to them here.

What genres do you write besides gay erotic romance?
Well, I write M/F erotic romance as well as both M/M and M/F erotica. Also, under another name I write romance, young adult, and fantasy/sci-fi. I have a lot of different genres I enjoy reading and what I enjoy reading I also enjoy writing.
Except for plays. I enjoy reading plays, but writing them? No. It's rather like slamming my head up against the wall.

How long did you write before you were published?
Well, *grins* I've been writing since I could write – I still have one of the first stories I wrote when I was like five years old. So a long, long time.

What are you currently reading?
I have a lot of books in my Kindle, but there are certain books/stories that grip you so hard and whose characters become such a part of you that you cannot stop reading them. Harry Potter stories were that way and so is Falls Chance Ranch, a series of M/M domestic discipline stories that revolve around a ranch. Gripping. Wonderful. I never want to stop reading it.
No matter what new books I download into my eReader, I invariably turn to the men at Falls Chance, as they feel like home. If they were in audio, I'd be listening to them too.

Do you have any advice for other writers?
Write what you love. I see, far too often, a huge influx of people writing something because "Oh, Look! That book is selling, so I will write one just like that." It's boring and copycat-esque. Instead, dig deep within you for your own characters, your own storylines, and most definitely your own titles. You will write better and your story will have more impact.

If you had to do it all over again, would you change anything in your latest book?
Oh, boy. Yes, where it ends. This was written as a trilogy. The problem is, I am now in the midst of three and realize there will be a fourth. If I had made this book about thirty thousand words longer and taken them through the holiday season, this would not have been an issue.
Ah, well. Hindsight ;)

Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your writing?
All the voices. I cannot tell you how many works-in-progress I have because it would probably make the readers fall off their chairs. It is difficult to write when several storylines want my attention at the same time. Sometimes it gets so frustrating I can't write anything. I hate those times.

Is there a message in your novel that you want readers to grasp?
I'm not much of a 'message' kind of girl. But if anything, I would want readers to recognize that romance is romance, whether it be M/F or M/M. It is about two people making things work.

What were the challenges you faced in bringing your latest book to life?
I think the hardest part was wondering how the readers would react to one part of it. It is 'reality' and yet in romance books, reality most of the time does not exist. In most DD novels, we have the alpha male who is the spanker and is also in the charge of discipline as well.
Since I came to this through a BDSM background, and the fact that Logan and Christian led the way, this is the exact opposite. It shows that just because someone is the 'top' in the sexual relationship, that does not mean they are the dominant in the discipline sense.

If you could have any super power, what would it be?
It isn't a superpower, per se, but I would love to be able to transport from here to there without the need for cars, trains, planes, space ships…etc.
Beam me up, Scotty ;)

What book do you wish you’d written?
While I am not a fan of the 50 Shades trilogy, I wish I had written it. Why? For the sheer reality of how well it sells and how many people it has touched. What author would not want to be in that spot? Her trilogy has changed the way the world sees erotica.
Just for that simple fact, that trilogy will go down as one of the most important in our century. Especially to those who love to write and read erotic literature.

What are your current projects?
How much time do you have? *grins* Well, too many to mention, but the main ones I am working on right now are:
a novella for the Corbin's Bend spanking romance series (more info on that coming Jan 2nd).
2nd novel in The Shift series.
3rd novel in All They Ever Needed series.
3rd novel in my non-erotic Dating Service series.
Taking my 170K YA Dystopian story and separating and expanding it into three novels.

Can you share a little of your current work with us?
Would love to! In this snippet, Logan has just gotten home from college and Christian, who helped him bring all of his stuff back, is heading out.

Christian had a few things he needed to do for work, plus his mother was expecting him for dinner, so they unpacked the truck, taking all the boxes down to the basement before he left. “See you tomorrow?” he asked after kissing Logan goodbye.

“Yep. Just let me know when and I will be ready.”

Christian grinned. “I’m taking you out to dinner. Be ready at six.”

Surprised, Logan watched him drive away. He had just been asked out on a date. Usually it was he who did the asking. A wonderful feeling bloomed in his stomach, the kind he associated with being loved and taken care of. Beaming, he went back inside.

Book Description:
Took My Breath Away
Sequel to As Natural As Breathing

Length: Novel
Genre: Gay Spanking Romance
Series: All They Ever Needed

Sometimes taking control is what you need to do and sometimes the best thing you can do is give that control up.

In the summer between Logan's junior and senior years of college, these two will find out more about each other and themselves than they imagined.

While unhappy to be missing four weeks of Christian's company, Logan is thrilled to spend a month with his father's relatives in New York.  A naturally gregarious individual, he is used to winning people over and getting things right. Unfortunately, the Mannettes are not what he expects and for the first time in his life, he finds himself seriously doubting who he is.

Christian has regained some of his old self-esteem and is taking on new challenges. Besides growing in the relationship he has with Logan, he takes the time his boyfriend is away to learn more about domestic discipline. He learns a little online but it is actually Gregory, Logan's father, where he gains most of his information. Including the fact that his natural strength puts him in a leadership position he isn't expecting.

When Logan returns to a strong, self-assured Christian, it is with complete relief. As discussions turn to domestic discipline and they realize their true roles within their current and future relationship, both of them are able to let their inhibitions go and together their connection grows surprising Logan to an epiphany.

Thianna D
For Thianna D, reading and writing are as important as breathing and far more important than math or science. A storyteller from the time she could speak, she was always making up characters as a kid. As a teenager that turned to sci-fi and fantasy, as an adult to romance. It wasn’t until her fourth decade that she began writing erotic scenes within her stories.
Writing M/M came naturally to her; she wrote her first tale before ever having read one. “There is something about the amazing dynamic between two strong men falling in love and defeating anything thrown at them.” While she had written several BDSM stories involving men, As Natural As Breathing was the first full-length novel involving domestic discipline. In Took My Breath Away, its sequel, Logan and Christian further their relationship in very defining ways.

As Natural as Breathing Tour Stop - It's Day 10 for Thianna D. #GayRomance #Spanking

Thanks, Kathryn, for letting my book tour be on A Writer’s Naughty Thoughts today:)

This is day 10 of the As Natural As Breathing Book Blog Tour. Have you been reading along? If not, you can find all the posts here.

All right! Kathryn asked to interview me for this post, so let’s see what she had to ask…and my responses. Are you ready?

How long did you write before you were published?
Well, I have been writing stories since I was five. So a very long time. But if we are talking serious writing where I was writing with the intention of getting a book done and out to the public? Five years. It took me five years to write my first fantasy novel.

How long did it take you to write your current book?
As Natural As Breathing took a month to write and then four months to edit, rip apart, re-write and get it to a point of submitting to a publisher. I am really big at putting a manuscript away for at least a few weeks, many times much longer until I can look at it with a fresh eye. That way I can fix and get rid of any big problems before editing commences.

What genres do you write besides spanking romance?
Well, under the name Thianna D, I write both erotica and erotic romance. You will find spanking in many of them. (Though not in my next Library Tale.) Many of my books have some form of BDSM involvement. I write both straight and gay and I enjoy writing both equally.

Under an entirely different name, I write romance, fantasy and even some non-fiction stuff.

I have multiple reading/writing interests.

What is your best guilty pleasure? (By best I mean worst.)
LOL Okay, are we talking sexually? Or foodwise? Hmm, let’s choose bookwise. I love Twilight. Say what you will about the main characters, I do love the love story in it. Because after all – I am a sucker for a good love story. (Which is probably why all but one of my books ends either HFN or HEA.)

As for food guilty pleasures? Hostess powdered sugar donuts. You know the ones? They pop easily into the mouth and are covered in lovely sugar? I thought I was safe when Hostess went under…and then they came back. And – oh look – there is a bag sitting right next to my computer.

Are you a plotter or a pantser?
A pantser for the most part. Most of the time when I sit down to write, I have no idea what is about to come out of the ether and flow through my fingers, either on to the page or into the keyboard. It is like I am the first person to read this amazing story.

However, the longer the book, the more I need a basic clue of where I am going. For instance, in the series that starts with my new book As Natural As Breathing. When I finished the first book, I was able to write down a couple simple things about the next two books so I knew where the story was headed. But it is just huge plot points. Each story itself is still a major surprise. And let me tell you, the second one in this series which will be out in January 2014 was a huge surprise in the best way.

And I like it that way.

What is the most you have written in one day?
I never really started counting daily numbers until the last six months or so, but my largest day was July 23rd. How do I know the date? I was taking part in JulNoWriMo and tracked my numbers daily. I wrote 14,314 words that day.

If you could have any super power, what would it be?
Don’t laugh! I would have the power to attract men I am attracted to. That’s my goal. Seriously. Am tired of attracting men that are the opposite of what I want.

Did you include any experiences based on someone you know, or events in your own life?
Yes, I did. Christian suffers from PTSD due to his time in Afghanistan. I suffer from PTSD due to events in my childhood. I understand the panic attacks, the tension, the isolation, and the pain involved. There is a scene where an attack takes him down and my editor said she could feel his emotions intensely during it.

When do you write, morning or night?
I write best in the afternoon and evening, but I have also been known to wake up at 3 a.m. when one of my characters decides they must chatter at that point and write for a couple hours before going back to sleep.

If you had to choose, which writer would you consider a mentor?
Interesting question. Two authors that I have listened to for years and took on habits that they both work with are R.L. Stein and Steven King. So, in many ways, those two are my mentors. They just don’t know it.

Name one entity (person, place or thing) you feel supported or inspired you outside of your family members.
I grew up in a community and religious atmosphere wherein I was treated horribly. Because of that, I fight hard for the rights of those who might be considered ‘different’ just like I was. Because different is not bad. In fact it should be lauded, not defiled.

Can you share a little of your current work with us?
Would love to! In this excerpt, Christian was in an accident and has come to spend the day with Logan.

“What are you doing?” Christian asked.

“Reading your meds.” When Christian gave him a disbelieving look, he added, “Hey, Dad’s a doctor. I’m anal-retentive when it comes to medication.”

As much as he did not want to take them, he knew he needed to. Unfortunately, one side effect was that they made him sleepy, and he kept drifting in and out of consciousness. The second time he woke up groggily, he groaned. “This sucks,” he muttered. “I came to spend the day with you and all I’m doing is sleeping.”

“You are still here,” Logan reminded him, hugging him close. “I cannot imagine anything I would rather do.”

“You wouldn’t rather be spanking my ass?” Christian yawned.

Logan’s body shook with silent laughter and he smiled. “When you are better, I’ll be happy to paint your ass red. But if you feel up to it, there are a few things we could do that shouldn’t wear you out. In fact, they would relax you into another nap quite easily.”

Immediately alert, Christian nodded. He wanted to feel as good as he had yesterday before the whole Brian experience.

“Great. Well, first we need to get naked.”

Grinning, Christian struggled to sit up. “Nothing bad can start with that phrase.”

Logan Mannette has almost everything he ever wanted: loving parents, happiness, friends and security. The only thing missing is finding the love of his life, a love that is just like his parents’. When he meets Christian at a party, everything changes. Instantly attracted, he does his best to help this sad man and quickly finds himself feeling more than he has ever felt before. Raised in a domestic discipline household, he holds that ideal as what he wants but his interest in spanking became a fetish and when Christian admits that he wants to be spanked, Logan believes he might have found the perfect man.

Just as everything begins for them, Christian’s past intercedes and one of his brothers makes waves about him dating a man. If it weren’t for Logan’s support, he might fold; but with the love of one amazing man, Christian finds that living his life rather than just existing is as natural as breathing.
