Sometimes you have to break the rules to get what you need.
Reading this material at Work could get you spanked.
Welcome to the Saturday Spankings blog hop. My stories are all M/f with the dominant male determined to protect the woman he cares for and loves, or grows to love, by doing whatever it takes to ensure her safety and continued health. This includes administering a spanking when she needs one.
My submission for this week is an excerpt from my new spanking novella in the Corbin's Bend series, Past Interference, the sequel to A Simple Misunderstanding. It used to be available only as part of the Love in the Rockies anthology, but is now being sold as a single release.
In this scene, which occurs in Chapter Five, Eleanor Benson (Elly) has made more than a few mistakes, one of which results in her throat being injured when she experiences another run in with her ex-husband. Not permitted to talk until the doctor gives her permission, Elly is reduced to communicating with a white board. With her wedding to Jerry scheduled to take place in three days, Elly refuses to spend one more night in the guest bedroom.
Knowing Jerry will do nothing to address their issues until after she's been cleared by their physician, Elly decides to confront the matter the only way she knows how. Head on. Jerry gives Elly a chance to avoid the inevitable by ordering her to pick up her board one last time, but she stubbornly refuses to comply, so he makes good on his promise. When she finally gives in, Jerry wants to make sure she understands he's serious about her health, and that further disobedience will only get her in worse trouble. So, after he finishes administering her spanking, he tells her she deliberately sought to make him angry and she succeeded, so without further ado he grabs her arm and orders her to follow him to the corner where he places both hands on her head and orders her nose to the wall.
The
position in question thrust Elly's bottom out, effectively putting it on
display. He gave her aching hindquarters a light pat, which caused her to draw
air between her teeth. She’d demanded Jerry take action, and he had, but she
expected aftercare would gain her time in the cuddle chair. Instead, she was
ordered to stare at a wall without a moment’s comfort or reassurance. The
realization of just how miserably her plan had failed brought several sobs to
her throat. Sensing the heat of Jerry’s body even through her desolation, Elly
realized he remained behind her, but he still refused to talk or touch her for
several moments until he placed a wad of tissues into her hand.
Blurb:
Valentine's Day in Corbin's Bend. As Elly Benson readies herself for her second wedding, the doubts and misgivings of any new bride-to-be are exacerbated by the abuse she suffered during her first marriage.
Though she's lived with Jerry Douglas for four months now, and been subject to his discipline more than once, Elly's first husband had been kind and careful with her, too, until the day she vowed to love, honor and obey him. The lessons she's learned from the past make her doubt she can ever find happiness in the future.
Past Interference is available at the following locations.
I also have a page on my web site where I am offering a sample of the first two chapters. If you're interested, visit either the Spanking Romance or Past Interference page in the Over 18 section of my website.
Aww, poor Elly. Jerry is a sweetie and is serious about taking care of her and her health. Nice touch with the tissues. I'm sure there will be time in the cuddle chair :)

Aww, I hope Elly gets the cuddling she needs. This is such a great excerpt. I felt it!
ReplyDeleteI think that spanking was probably as difficult to give as it was to received. Bring on the cuddle time.
ReplyDeleteP.S. Love the hearts and flowers background.
Sometimes not getting what we expect is what we really need. Great snippet!
ReplyDeleteThe touch and talk are important, but at least she could sense he was there until he got ready to comfort her.
ReplyDeleteI love Jerry - he is such a caring, loving man. So different from what she's used to.
ReplyDeleteWhat we need, and what we want are often not the same. I love the banner, it goes along so well with your snippet. Great time to bring this out as a stand alone. Congratulations Kathryn ☺
ReplyDeleteI loved this scene! Jerry always takes such good care of her. :)
ReplyDeleteI love Jerry and I've only just met him.
ReplyDeleteOh dear :( That didn't pan out quite as Elly hoped. Never try to manipulate a Dom, somehow, they always come out on top ;) Lovely snippet - I'm wondering if he'll take pity on her... please say he does :)
