Welcome to Frisky Friday.  My stories are all M/f with the dominant male determined to protect the woman he cares for and loves, or grows to love, by doing whatever it takes to ensure her safety and continued health.  This includes administering a spanking when she needs one.  

My submission for this week is from my first BDSM novel, A Dom's Dilemma, published by Blushing Books.

This excerpt occurs after Master James and Kelly have spent an intense weekend together, and he has seen her home.  Kelly doesn't want to leave him, but knows she has no claim on the Dom who's taken her under his wing.  As Jim tallies up the pluses and minuses in their relationship, he realizes he's the one primarily at fault for the problem they're having. Taking himself to task for being a lousy Dom, he tries to bring his life back to order only to realize she's touched his heart in a way he never expected. Even so, he's not sure their relationship is going to work when she calls him at home. Deciding it was best to be honest, he admits that he likes her, perhaps too much to be her Dom. When Kelly reacts badly, Jim realizes admitting his uncertainty was not a wise course to take with her. So, he takes control again, if only to improve her mindset, even as he realizes they still need to address their issues in person

             "Did you take another shower tonight?"

            "Um.  Yes, Sir."

            "And…."

            "I didn't do anything I wasn't supposed to, Sir."

            "Pleased to hear it.  Did you put on the butt cream I gave you?"  Silence.  "Kellly…"

            "I forgot," she admitted, and it sounded like she was torn between telling him the truth, and telling him to go to hell.

            "All right.  Go do it now," he instructed firmly.

            "What?"

            "Do not make me repeat myself.  Put the phone down, apply the cream like I told you, then come back and pick up the phone again."

            "You're serious?'

            "Unless you want a spankin' the next time we're together, you'd best do what I tell you now, little girl."

Jim realizes after their time together, Kelly is likely to go through sub drop. He doesn't want to do anything that might exacerbate the situation, and yet a part of him suspects they are not well-suited for each other. All the same, attempting to discuss the issue over the phone is not a wise course for a Dom to take.
