Welcome to the first Sneak Peek Sunday of June.  For Sneak Peek Sunday we share six paragraphs from a published work or a WIP (work in progress).

My submission for this week is from my 3rd book, Arrested by Love.  A handsome, but strict, police officer  decides a spoiled socialite needs a special lesson in obeying the law.

Tiffany Morgan has been in love with Kyle Sinclair since she was ten years old, when he'd turned her over his knee for attempting to swim in a raging white water river. Though she'd been furious with him at the time, Tiffany never told her family what Kyle did. Instead, she began trailing after him like an annoying younger sister as she tried to gain his attention.

Now, eleven years later, Kyle, a patrol officer, is finding it much more difficult to maintain his distance from the irresistible and vivacious redhead who continues to invent ingenious ways to attract his interest. Though he dismissed her initial attraction to him as infatuation, as she grew-up, his own feelings of desire and protectiveness deepened. So, despite his constant struggle to resist the spirited little minx's lures, Kyle finally has to admit that he is losing the battle--badly.

After Kyle makes it clear to Tiffany that speeding will earn her much more than a ticket from him, he gives into the inevitable and asks her out on a date.  He loves her, but isn't sure he's the right guy for her.  However, he no longer fights the attraction between them as he dates her exclusively, but Tiffany wants more, so she makes her stand.

             After going out every Friday and Saturday and seeing each other on Wednesday night for four and a half months, Tiffany finally confronted him when he refused once again to make love to her despite her pleading.  She was horny, and though his fingers felt wonderfully soothing against her most intimate place, she wanted more.  She wanted him and she let him know what she wanted by pulling his hand out of her panties when they were necking in the backseat of his car, and said, "What exactly do you want from me, Kyle Sinclair?"

            His expression of surprise at her sudden attack had been priceless and would have made her laugh if she hadn't been so frustrated with him.  "What do you mean?"

            "We've been dating, and necking and petting, but we aren't moving anywhere.  You never take me to your place.  We just sit in the car, fondling and getting each other so worked up until I am ready to scream."  His eyebrows arched up at that because she actually had screamed a couple of times when he'd pleasured her, except that wasn't her point.  "So, what is it exactly that I am to you?  Just some girl you can pick up and play with for a bit on the weekends?  Or do I mean something more to you?"

            His eyebrows came low and together, a sure sign he was beginning to lose patience with her.  "What do you think, Tiffany?"

            Yeah, he was angry.  Then again, so was she.  She wanted more, but he seemed happy to just keep doing what they were doing until they were in their shawls and rocking chairs.  "The point is Kyle, I no longer know what to think about what you want out of this relationship, which is why I am asking you."

            He sat up straighter then, and looked down at her.  Their height difference was just enough to make her back down anytime he used it in a slightly intimidating manner.  And the glimmer of anger that currently shined in his eyes, had her immediately slinking back down in the seat and lowering her gaze to the floor.  She was such a coward when he displayed a little muscle, because she knew the power behind those arms and the firm strength of those hands--intimately.

Tiffany is an innocent, but she knows she wants Kyle, so sets out a plan to get him.
