This snippet occurs early in the book when Kelly's new daddy is attempting to show her around as he explains his rules to her, but her growing nervousness makes her impatient to know more.

Kelly placed her fingers on his palm and let him lead her down the hall to her new bedroom.

In direct contrast to the living area, and hallway, which were primarily decorated in chrome, glass, and leather, this room had all the frills and lace of a young miss's pink palace. Beginning to get the impression she would indeed be kept as a little girl, Kelly looked about her with unease.

All the furniture in the room had small bows and flowers attached in some way. The white dresser and night table were so shiny, she wondered if they had been coated with vinyl. The Cinderella bed, which dominated the room, was a little girl's fantasy come true. He'd encased a twin-sized bed in a pumpkin-shaped, golden-metal carriage frame complete with a fully decorated crown on top which had a light, sheer canopy draping from it. The mattress was raised off the floor by ornately finished steel scrollwork wheels connected to a curved rococo metal head and footboard, so it stood level with Kelly's waist. She'd have to take a running leap to climb into it.

In addition to the ostentatious princess bed, there was an adult-sized carousel-style rocking horse set in the corner along with a super-sized padded rocking chair and a variety of stuffed animals, dolls, and children's picture books perched on inset shelves. The room also featured two comfy-looking pink velvet upholstered armchairs. All in all, the chamber was fit for a young royal with the exception of two other pieces that caused the tiny hairs at the back of Kelly's neck to rise. He had added an adult-sized high chair and an oversized baby-changing station. What the…

"What are those?" she asked, pointing at the unusual equipment as though they'd been marked with the sign of the devil and stood dripping in blood.

"Ah, those. Well, there may come a time when I choose to treat you as I would an infant."

Kelly frowned. "You'll make me wear a diaper and sit in a high chair?"

"Yes. I will, among other things. Now, I suggest we—"

"Why?"

"You should never interrupt Daddy when he's talking, pumpkin. You'll get spanked if you do it again. First thing we need—"

"But, how can I—" Kelly wasn't permitted another word before he wrapped his arm about her waist and bent her over. Whack.

The more Kelly learns about her new situation the more nervous she becomes.

Kelly is one of my favorite characters. She can be such a brat at times, which is something her champion Graham White refuses to tolerate. The majority of this story is the earliest, chronologically, since it occurs in Kelly's past, but it is the most recent book in the series. Confused much?

So, if you want to know more about this bratty, sometimes submissive adult little girl, she first appears in Arrested by Love as a secondary character, but like all good primary characters she insisted on having her own story with her new Dom, which developed into A Dom's Dilemma. Both books, originally released in 2010, have been numbered for the series, reedited and reissued with new covers, along with Learning to be Little: Kelly's Story. Its cover is pictured above.

Though Learning to be Little will be the newest book in the series, it actually begins immediately after A Dom's Dilemma, then takes the reader into Kelly's past in a sequel/prequel. The story is a departure for me in that the majority of its chronological time line takes place before the two books I've already published, but it belongs in the middle of the series. This snippet takes place early in Chapter 11. On their fourth Wednesday out together, Kelly and her daddy are approached by another couple for the first time. Kelly, takes an immediate dislike to the other Little, who dressed like she was six, but looked nearly twenty, making her two years older than Kelly. And with the simpering smiles this little Susie-Q was giving Kelly's daddy, Kelly decided to challenge the other Little, which gets her in hot water with Daddy along with the threat of a public spanking.

The four of them got into an elevator, which they rode to the fifteenth floor.

"I don't own a penthouse like you, Graham, but I've soundproofed the walls, so you needn't worry about anyone overhearing."

"Smart decision."

"This way," he said pointing the way when the elevator doors slid apart. He led them down the hall to a door, which he unlocked. Kelly's first impression of Mr. Cartwright's apartment was its fancy décor. Pastel flowers, crystal vases, lamps with figurines. It all seemed very feminine. And when a young woman in high heels, party dress, and pearls entered from a side room, Kelly understood why. Susie, it appeared, had a mommy and a daddy, and that thought had Kelly gripping Daddy's hand in dismay. He gave her fingers an absent pat but didn't say anything.

"You're back from your walk early, Trent. Something happen?"

Mrs. Cartwright kissed Daddy on the cheek. "Of course I remember Graham. Nice to see you. You haven't been to any of the recent munches, so I wondered if you'd abandoned the lifestyle for a more conventional arrangement with your last little girl. Louise, wasn't it?"

Graham White smiled. "Yes, Louise. And no, I haven't entertained any thought of leaving the lifestyle. At least not yet."

Then Mrs. Cartwright turned to Kelly, who promptly backed up against Daddy. "Hello, Kelly. Are you scared, little one?"

Possessing only a little money, few skills and even fewer resources, Kelly's attempts at job hunting end up with her prowling the streets in desperation until a wealthy stranger makes her a proposition she is too cold and hungry to refuse. Though, it isn't until he takes her home that she realizes just what it is she's gotten herself into.

Susie accompanied her daddy almost eagerly. Kelly couldn't see her face, but, from the skip in her step, she wondered if public punishments were something Susie-Q was not only accustomed to, but enjoyed.

MFRW Book Hooks - 1/17/18 - A Dom's Dilemma - Kelly resolutely keeps silent #BookHooks #BDSM

In BDSM, silence isn't always golden.

Welcome back to Book Hooks, a regular Wednesday feature! In this blog loop, we hope to provide you with some tantalizing tidbits in our books.

My post for this Wednesday is from my 4th book, A Dom's Dilemma, an erotic BDSM/spanking novel published by Blushing Books.  Kelly and Jim, the two main characters, were secondary characters in Arrested by Love. Though this story stands on its own, if you read Arrested by Love, you'll most likely recognize some of the scenes, since we see a little bit of Kyle and Tiffany in this book, too. Both books have recently been re-edited and revised and given new covers.

This scene in A Dom's Dilemma occurs near the end of Chapter Six.  Jim and Kelly are just starting to get to know each other when Jim discovers Kelly is still sore from the enema and examination he gave her a half-hour ago.  She knows that means he will want to examine and treat her, but she really wants to avoid having him touch her back there again, if it's at all possible.  It isn't, but Jim compromises by making the experience as pleasurable as he can.  However, he's a Dom, so there are some rules Kelly will need to follow.  Rules like forbidding her to come until he gives his permission. The sort of rules he fully expects her to break. Of course, when she does, a good Dom needs to provide the proper discipline his sub requires and expects, but he can also add pleasure to the experience, if he chooses. Afterward, he holds, cuddles, and reassures her until her tears have dried. 

Though Kelly came with his finger deep inside her, she had been hurt so badly before during anal play, she'd needed corrective surgery. As a consequence, hearing Master James tell her he intended to pursue having sex with her in her now puckering butt, scared her, and more than a little. He picks up on her reaction and asks if she will now tell him what had happened to her, but she knows he'd drop her like a sack of sand if she told him the truth, so she politely refuses. Her refusal leads him to warn, "Well, since you refuse to say what happened, I got to assume there's no problem. Because a good sub would never hold something so important back from her Dom. Right?"

            When Kelly winced, her clever Dom reached over and pinched her chin. "You know I'd be real gentle with you, don't you?"

She nodded reluctantly. He would be as gentle as possible, but as sore as his exam left her, she also knew sex with him was going to hurt, since she'd place the instrument he'd used into the peewee division if the two were ever entered into a contest of comparisons. The long, thick object pressing against her hip was far too intimidating, by her way of reckoning, and she wasn't a quailing virgin by any means.

"As a matter fact," he continued without pause. "I can promise you'd feel lots more pleasure back there than you recently did on my lap. So you have nothing to fear about me playing at your backdoor, no matter what you experienced before." 

Though convinced he was wrong, Kelly made no effort to contradict him. He must have sensed her disagreement, however, because he added, "And unless you give me a good reason why I shouldn't, I intend to prove all that and more real soon." He gave her nose another tap. "Whether you realize the truth or not, Kelly girl, you're in for a treat when I finally show you how enjoyable backdoor play can be."

Kelly didn't dare shake her head, since doing so would only earn another reproof, if not a spanking, from her very strict Dom. However, considering his "larger-than-average" size, she suspected his knocking her backdoor would be anything but a treat.

Jim is into control, not pain, and he wants Kelly to find pleasure in everything they do together, but the Dom in him insists upon taking the lead.  Things will happen his way, and on his terms.  End of story. Although Jim finds a great deal of satisfaction in Kelly's enthusiastic response, and her trust is of paramount importance to him, his role as a Dom requires him to hold her accountable when she lies or disobeys. And he knows the cuddly armful currently resting on his lap is hiding the truth from him.

WIPitUP Wednesday - 1/17/18 - Arrested by Love - Tiffany learns brattiness carries consequences #DD #OfficerRomance

WIP: Work in progress.  WIP it up Wednesday is a hop where writers share portions of the project they're working on with readers.  I really like the idea because it allows me to share something that's still in the creative stage as well as work behind the scenes as a prompt to keep me writing. Unfortunately, I don't have anything ready to share, yet. So, today I've decided to post from my first spanking novel "Arrested by Love."  And, if you sign up for my newsletter, you can get a copy of the book for free.

In Arrested by Love, Kyle and Tiffany have been having problems, but they are attempting a reconciliation after Kyle basically kidnapped her from her home, with her father's grudging approval, and drove her to see a doctor. Tiffany had become very ill during their separation and Kyle is determined to take care of her in every way she needs. Though Tiffany isn't a true submissive, she is trying to smooth things over with Kyle, so she's working hard to keep her bratty tendencies at bay. However, there's only so much a girl can do, and after reminding her she might be pregnant, Kyle makes things worse by threatening her with a spanking if she doesn't behave more responsibly. Her pride wounded by the suspicion she doesn't matter as much as the possible fetus in her womb, Tiffany launches herself at him and begins hitting and slapping. Struggling to keep his temper in check, Kyle gives her the spanking he promised then puts her back in her chair. Humiliated and furious, Tiffany runs into their bedroom, slams the door and locks it. Kyle gives her a few minutes to calm down before he convinces her that locking him out isn't going to solve anything.

She'd stopped crying, or at least sobbing, so he opened the door slowly in case she chose to lob something at him. She was seated on the bed, glaring at him, but her lower lip trembled, which meant there was a bit of apprehension behind all that righteous anger.

He stepped into the room and shut the door. She didn't try to back away, so he moved closer.

"What are you going to do?" she asked, more than a little nervously.

"For the moment, I intend to sit beside you, pull you onto my lap, and give you some hugs and kisses. Would you like that?"

She nodded, but the tears started again. So, he sat down beside her and pulled her into his arms. "I'm sorry," she wailed again.

"Shh, sweetie. It's all right, and it's over. I'm not sure why you wanted me to spank you, but you clearly needed me to take a firm stand, so I did."

"What makes you think I wanted a spanking?" she asked with a sniff.

"Because you didn't back down when I warned you to."

"I was angry with you."

"I know you were. But, whether you know it or not, when you start to get bratty and sass me, you are demanding I put you over my knee."

 

Kyle enjoys Tiffany's sass to a point. The fact that she's feeling better has him in a much better mood. And though he's insisting on maintaining a DD relationship with his girl, he gives her as much leeway as his dominance will allow. However, his patience does have limits, and she needs to be more adult now that they suspect she is pregnant. So, her petulant little girl attitude carries consequences.
