Guest Post - 7/22/2022 "Two Hearts One Love" by Daryl Devore #EroticRomance #Suspense/Thriller

When a drag queen club manager's crazy world collides with a rock star's chaotic life, is there a chance their relationship can survive?

Excerpt:

She climbed onto the bed, straddled him and settled her hips on his. The vision before him was electrifying, her cute short hair, those fabulous grey-blue eyes, and that body that gave him an instant hard-on.

“What’re you grinning at?” She opened the bottle of massage oil.

“The view. I love the view. Of you.” She bounced as he chuckled. “I could write that into a song.” He sang, “I’m so in love with you. The view of you. Your gorgeous breasts. Breasts. Breasts. I’m stuck on your breasts.”

“You silly.” She slapped his belly. “I should hop off and go sleep in another room.”

He snapped his mouth closed, shook his head, crossed his heart and held up his hand.

“Somehow, I doubt you were ever a Boy Scout. Let’s see. Punishment for a bad boy.” She glanced around the room. “Ah.” Jumping off the bed, Erika dashed to the closet, pulled a belt off one of the bathrobes and returned.

Darien held out his wrists. “Oh, yeah. Bad boy needs punishing.”

She loosely bound his wrists, tying the other end to the bedpost. “Now, where was I?” She settled back down on his hips, grabbed the bottle of oil, then popped the lid.

Erika grinned as she waved the container. “Betcha thought I was going to rub this on you to ease out some of the aches in your muscles. Well, you’d be wrong. I’m gonna make every muscle in your body tense and scream for me.”

She tilted the bottle, pouring the oil between her breasts. It dribbled down her belly and puddled in her belly button. Using her middle finger, she stroked her oiled flesh from the top of her chest to where the material covered what he desired. She wiped her finger dry, stroking it across his nipples. They responded to her touch.

He sniffed. Cinnamon buns. The warm fragrance from the bakery where he grew up tickled his nose.

Picking up the bottle, Erika poured more liquid into her left hand, pressing it against her right breast. With her palm, she circled her hand around, spreading the oil. She stroked under her breast, up and around, drawing a spiral pattern closer and closer to her nipple, then flicked her finger across the tight peak.

Darien’s eyes stung, reminding him to blink. “You look so hot doing that.”

“Guess I’ll just have to repeat everything on the other side.” She poured the scented massage oil into her right hand and echoed what she’d done — rubbing, stroking, and flicking.

The oil’s fragrance wafted on the air.

She wiggled her hips. The motion made Darien grunt and flex every muscle. The heat of his sexual tension caused a bead of sweat to form on his brow, even though he was stretched out naked on the bed.

After oiling her hands, Erika slid them under the lace and rubbed her nipples. She closed her eyes while rocking her hips.

Darien struggled against the restraining belt. The loose knot tightened. He froze. He wanted to touch her. To lick the oil off her breasts. Being restrained was torture. He loved it.

But between suspecting her father ordered the torching of her club, and her mother’s humiliating drunken behaviour, Erika’s trust in those she loves is crushed. With all her parents put her through, how can she trust Darien?

Concerned for Erika’s safety, Darien races to Bangkok to protect her only to discover his brother is missing. Guest Post - 10/25/16 - "Winning Sadie" by Libby Campbell #DD #EroticRomance #MysterySuspense

She's frightened. He's fearless. Their future lies in the balance

Excerpt:

Simon stood and put his champagne flute on the table. His lips twitched, as if he was fighting a smile. “Let me guess when you started having these doubts. I’d pin them as starting about a week ago, maybe the day you drove out to the airport and picked up your mother?”
Without meeting his eyes, I took his outstretched hand let him help me to my feet. He’d pegged the moment precisely. I was lifting Mom’s suitcase off the carousel when she made the first jibe. She looked over my shoulder as if searching for someone.
With a lift of her chin she taunted, “Where is the legendary Simon Jacobson? Is he too busy to welcome me himself?”
To the outside world, Mom acted as though she admired Simon. She complimented how well he treated me, how lovely his house was, how generously he treated his guests. When it was just the two of us she cracked critical, undermining comments that bit like a thousand beestings.
She said things like, “Simon’s friends live in a different world. You can’t have him without them and they speak a foreign tongue.”
With a skill perfected over my lifetime, Mom eroded my confidence that someone like him could love someone like me, and that the rest of world would accept us. Her week-long campaign to make me question my future with Simon was a resounding success. The more time I spent in the company of his friends that weekend, the less I believed that I would ever belong there.
Now it was just Simon and me, a lazy Sunday afternoon, and an engagement to cancel.
I breathed in the soft savory smell of him standing in front of me. His hand was warm and strong as he held mine. He lifted my chin, forcing me to look him in the eyes. “I asked you a question: did you start having second thoughts as a result of your mother’s visit?”
            I turned away.
“I’ll take that as a yes.” He kissed me on the cheek. “I think we need to discuss this. With you over my knee.”

Blurb:

Sadie Donohue – gorgeous, sexy, smart and totally smitten with Simon Jacobson.

Simon Jacobson – gorgeous, sexy, smart, uber-rich and utterly smitten with Sadie Donohue. This sounds like a perfect match, so what's the problem?

Sadie is from the wrong side of the tracks: working class neighborhood, public schools, sausages on the backyard bar-b-que. She was raised to fend for herself and bow down to no one, especially a man. Since meeting Simon, everything her liberated, independent mother taught her has flown out the window. Now Sadie is regularly over Simon’s knee for being her sassy, strong-willed self. And she loves it!

Simon hails from a world of wealth and privilege: gated communities, private schools, servants turning steaks on the bar-b-que. As the owner of a multinational corporation he is used to giving orders and getting what he wants. His life revolves around making millions and socializing with people whose flamboyant wealth intimidates Sadie. Still, she’s thrown into the deep end and told not to do anything to embarrass Simon. Or else!

At their lavish engagement party, Sadie’s hears her mother’s voice echoing in her head, reminding her that she will never fit in. Best intentions aside, Sadie will always be an embarrassment to Simon. That's it. Engagement off!

Simon is in charge and he has other ideas. But will Sadie's mother be their undoing? Can Sadie reconcile her past with her future?

This love story includes spanking an adult woman, explicit sex scenes and more. If such material offends you, please do not read this book.

Interview with Libby Campbell, author of Winning Sadie

In talking with Libby, I asked her "Are you working on anything right now? If so, will you sneak and tell me about it? I won’t tell anyone if you don’t…

Generally I’m kind of superstitious about talking about any work in progress. It feels like an invitation to disaster…but my current one is almost finished so I’m happy to share:

Book 3 in the Simon in Charge series, tentatively titled Sadie’s Christmas Waltz, follows this lively couple as they try to settle down to a normal life on the West Coast. They need to find a home to call their own and plan a wedding. Sadie wants to return to her volunteer work with homeless people on the Downtown Eastside. Simon has agreed that they will travel less so that they can share a more regular life together.

They find their dream home quickly, only to discover big obstacles in their way. Sadie’s return to volunteer work lands her in a dangerous situation.

Wedding plans very quickly become a low priority.

Thanks for sharing, Libby. I'm sure readers are excited to read the next book in this series, but we'll all keep mum about it until it's published, then all bets are off....

Guest Post - 1/26/16 - Spy Games Book Two: Stolen Love by Heather Hart #Erotic #Suspense

Heather Hart has dropped by to give us information on the second book in her Spy Games series: "Stolen Love."

Excerpt:

"Time to take things to the next level." He punched in a message: Game for a little wife swapping?
He stared at the message for a second, his thumb hovering over the Send button. The message itself made him sick to his stomach, but then he thought of all the innocent women and men who just disappeared, and he steeled himself. He had a job to do. With a heartfelt sigh he hit Send. If he had to do it, might as well get it over with.
He dropped the phone on the bed and looked over to his half-eaten sandwich, but his appetite was gone. He should never have gotten into this with Kassie. She meant too much to him. It was not like he had a choice though; for a good submissive, she had a will of iron outside the bedroom.
Ping! He picked up the phone. The reply was from Alex.
Sure. Where and when?
Robert typed his response. Tonight too soon?
The reply was instant. My hotel room. Nine o'clock.
Shit. Well, it was done now. He was never going to say no. We're looking forward to it. See you then.
After he sent the message, he dropped the phone on the bed and hoisted himself up. The job sucked, but the worst was to come. He had to tell Kassie. And though she'd know this was their plan from the get-go, he still hated to tell her. Not because he thought she'd be disgusted by the idea. Worse. He was afraid she might enjoy it.

Blurb:

When novice spy Kassie Shannon is given the chance to blow the lid off a human trafficking operation, she jumps right in, feet first. The front man for this criminal operation is a Brit called Alex Weber, a high-flying billionaire playboy with a thing for beautiful women and yachts.

Forever a champion of the neglected and abused, Kassie will do whatever it takes, including using her own body to bring this wealthy slime bag down. Knowing Alex is expected to arrive at Baltimore’s Inner Harbor, she and her partner devise a plan to flush him out into the open. She and Robert Redmond sail down in their small boat to meet Alex.

Although he is her master in the bedroom, Robert can’t help but accede to Kassie’s every whim outside it. But he has met the charming yet ruthless Alex before, and knowing what he is capable of, he fears Kassie may be in over her head.

He sets a close watch on her, but even he can’t be with her twenty-four hours a day. There is always a chance she might slip through his fingers the second his back is turned. And if the amoral, sex-trading Alex manages to get his hands on her, the love of his life could be sold and lost to him forever.

Guest Post - 6/9/15 - Striker by Patricia Green - #Erotic #SpankingRomance #Mystery

They've got to find a cruel serial killer, but their attraction might be deadlier.

Blurb:

Jase Striker, police detective and gritty noire aficionado, doesn't want a partner on the job. When saddled with a sexy new colleague—a rookie in the Homicide division—he's at first irritable. Over time that irritation slowly morphs into a blistering passion, taking their partnership to a new, erotic level that includes a bare-bottomed spanking when needed. But he fears what mixing work with pleasure will do to his crime fighting abilities.
Rookie homicide detective, Angelica Piccolino, is tired of being treated like a kid though her diminutive size and grunge look add to that impression. But she's 26, and no stranger to the street or the bedroom. A real woman can take a spanking now and then...as long as it's from a man she respects.
Forced to work together as a team, Striker and Piccolino investigate a heartbreaking case involving three young women, murdered and left like human garbage, except for a single white rose.  The detectives need to discover the identity of the white rose murderer fast--before another victim turns up.

Excerpt:

The next morning, I realized it had been a huge mistake to allow my partner to drive the police vehicle to the scene of the latest murder. She was reckless and completely unconcerned about other cars. Sure, we had our flasher in the window and the siren on, but we were in an unmarked car. People were slower to get out of the way than they would be for a marked police car. “Geez, slow the fuck down!”
She grinned at me and slewed the car on the wet road. A moment later, she was back in control, but her grin was a little false. I gripped the oh shit bar above the window and held on for dear life. Even a seat belt and air bags wouldn’t be enough if she lost control at this speed.
“God damn it, Piccolino! I said slow down!”
“Grow some balls, Striker!”
“I mean it. You’re going to kill us both. Now cut it out!”
“Or what?” she mocked. “You’re going to spank me?”
Where she’d gotten that, almost reading my mind, kind of threw me for a loop. But if a person ever deserved a spanking more than Piccolino, I couldn’t think of one.
Rain started again, pelting the windshield with big, drooling drops. She flicked the wipers on, but didn’t slow down in the least. We rounded a corner and fishtailed, but once again, she got control after a heart-stopping moment.
“You sure as hell need a spanking, you little brat.”
“Good luck with that. I know karate.”
“Not that it would do you any good.” We swerved and I saw my life flash before my eyes. “You are out of control, woman!”
“Yeah, yeah, yeah.” The car screeched to a halt, well, almost to a halt, just as it sideswiped a parked vehicle a block away from our destination. Piccolino’s mouth opened and shut a few times, and then she squeaked, “Oops.”
“Your ass is grass, Piccolino,” I told her. “Get out of the car.” My door was pinned closed against the crunched driver’s side door of the BMW she’d hit. Silently, her face pale, Piccolino got out of the car, and I awkwardly moved across the seats and got out behind her. There were no pedestrians and few moving cars along the street, probably due to the rainy weather. That was fortunate for my partner, because it was going to be bad enough reporting this MVA to Donati. Accidents happened when pursuing criminals, but we hadn’t been in pursuit, so there was no excuse for it this time.
I straightened my fedora and stared down at her, my brows drawn together.
“I’m sorry.”
I remained silent.
“Really. I’m sorry. I should have listened to you. I’ve just never been so excited. Rolling to the scene of a homicide. I felt like I was in the big time, you know, like… I don’t know…”
“Starsky and Hutch.”
“Who?”
“Never mind. You crossed the line. This was no little fender-bender.” I pointed to the Beamer. “That guy’s paint job alone is going to cost a thousand bucks.”
“Do we have to say it was my fault?”
“It was your fault.”
“Well, kinda. And kinda not.”
“You want me to lie?”
“Lie? No. Just… don’t say anything about how fast I was going. If you don’t say anything, Donati will never know this was more than an unfortunate skid and crunch due to the weather.”
“I’ve had it about up to here with your attitude, Piccolino,” I told her, gesturing to the top of my head. “You deserve whatever you get from Donati.”
She bit her lower lip. “Do I deserve…maybe…a spanking?”
