My submission for this week is from my first BDSM novel, A Dom's Dilemma, published by Blushing Books.

This excerpt occurs after Master James and Kelly have spent an intense weekend together, and he has seen her home.  Kelly doesn't want to leave him, but knows she has no claim on the Dom who's taken her under his wing.  As Jim tallies up the pluses and minuses in their relationship, he realizes he's the one primarily at fault for the problem they're having. Taking himself to task for being a lousy Dom, he tries to bring his life back to order only to realize she's touched his heart in a way he never expected. Even so, he's not sure their relationship is going to work when she calls him at home.

            "Kelly?"  He jerked into a sitting position.  "Are you all right, darlin'?"

            "Sure.  Why not?"

            He lay back down.  "So, what's on your mind, young lady?  Shouldn't you be in bed asleep by now?"

            She giggled at that.  "Actually, I'm allowed to stay up as long as I want, especially since no one's here right now to tell me otherwise."

            "You think not?"

            "I'm pretty sure I'm all alone, although I wouldn't mind company.  I wouldn't even mind if a certain stern Dom I know came over to punish me for staying up later than he ordered."

            He chuckled.  "Yeah, you say that now.  But if I were to put you over my knee, I know you'd be singin' another tune pretty damn quick."

            "Maybe…." She let her voice trail off in an obvious invitation that had his cock standing at immediate attention.  Not that it had far to go to be fully erect.  Partial erections seemed to be a permanent condition for him lately.

Jim realizes after their time together, Kelly is likely to go through sub drop. He doesn't want to do anything that might exacerbate the situation, and yet the Dom in him wonders if he's the right choice for her.
