Sneak Peek Sunday - July 14 - A Dom's Dilemma #SPeekSunday #BDSM #MFRWAuthor

He demanded her obedience, but what she wanted was his love.

It's Sneak Peek Sunday again and that means I get to share another 6 paragraphs from one of my books.  Yay!

My submission for this week is from my 4th book, A Dom's Dilemma, a BDSM/spanking novel that is sometimes playful, sometimes serious and sometimes terrifying, published by Blushing Books.  Kelly and Jim, the two main characters, were secondary characters in Arrested by Love.  Though this story stands on its own, if you read Arrested by Love, you'll most likely recognize some of the scenes, since we see a little bit of Kyle and Tiffany in this book, too.

In this excerpt, near the end of Chapter Thirteen, Kelly Franklin is recovering at Jim's home after receiving an exceptionally harsh and severe paddling administered by her new Dom, Jim Evans.  They have only known each other a few days, so they are still learning each other's wants, needs and desires.  He has told her unequivocally that there will be no sex between them until he determines she's ready for it.  However, now that Kelly's feeling better, her body isn't in total agreement with Jim's edict.  He has granted her permission to take a shower, and this is the first time he has left her alone during their three days together.  Turned on by the scent of his shampoo, Kelly gets carried away, then realizes she's in deep doo doo.

Kelly scrambled out of the shower and gazed into the hand-wiped, steam-fogged mirror as she combed her wet hair, which she'd thoroughly washed with his shampoo.  The scent was making her horny all over again.  Then noticing how her eyes looked brighter and her cheeks appeared rosier, she winced with the sinking realization she was royally screwed, and not in a good way.  He'd know.  There was no way she could hide it from him, and if she tried to lie, he'd know that too.  She leaned forward to bump her head against the mirror in frustration and heard a single knock.
With her stomach jumping into her throat, she opened the door and saw him standing outside, arms crossed and eyebrow arched.  "Have fun?" he asked silkily.
Though Kelly was fully prepared to drop onto her knees and beg forgiveness, she gazed up at him and pleaded with her eyes.  Receiving a higher-arched eyebrow in return, she decided her best defense was to try to make him laugh.  If he wasn't truly angry with her, then maybe he'd forgive this one little slip….  "I'm sorry," she started, and it wasn't a lie, she did feel bad, but….  "It was the sensation of your soap sliding so smoothly over my body, the smell of your shampoo as it caressed and cleaned my hair with tiny scrubbing bubbles."  Noticing the corner of his mouth twitch as he struggled to maintain his stern expression, she went on recalling what it was about him that made her want to melt.  "The scent of your masculine cologne as tiny tendrils--"
"I don't wear cologne," he interrupted firmly.
She opened her eyes wide.  "That maddening scent of yours is totally natural, totally you?"  She leaned in closer to him.  "I so badly want to touch--"
He cut her off.  "I believe you've touched quite enough for one morning, young lady."  His warm, lean fingers wrapped around her upper arm.  "You're comin' with me," he added, escorting her to the living room.

Jim has been taking excellent care of her, but Kelly is about to learn there are certain things a proper submissive should never attempt....
