#WIPitUP - 6/29/16 - Learning to be Little - Taken from the closet #BDSM #Ageplay

WIP: Work in progress.  WIP it up Wednesday is a hop where writers share portions of the project they're working on with readers.  I really like the idea because it allows me to share something that's still in the creative stage as well as work behind the scenes as a prompt to keep me writing.

The WIP I've chosen to share today is tentatively titled "Learning to be Little: Kelly's Story."  It is a story about Kelly Franklin's first immersion into BDSM with a Daddy Dom. It begins in the present directly after "A Dom's Dilemma" then slips into her past before returning to the present again. It's my first attempt at an age play story, but I hope it will provide a lot more insight into Kelly's character. Though the manuscript is still in edits at this point, I decided to begin sharing snippets of my first draft, beginning with the start of Kelly's nightmare.

I'm continuing where I left off last time I shared from this book. As an only child born to two only children, a young and precocious Kelly Franklin seeks out her Daddy whenever something frightens her. Unfortunately, her Daddy isn't available to soothe her and two strange men were hurting her mother. Scared, Kelly remains as quiet as a mouse in her parent's closet for the entire night.

Kelly stared at the  lady in blue who extended a hand to her, but didn't move. She didn't know the woman, and Mommy had told her to stay where she was.
"It's all right, sweetie. You're safe now. Just come with me."
"Mommy?" she asked in a tiny voice she didn't recognize as her own.
"Your mommy has been taken to the hospital." The woman crouched down so she was eye-level with Kelly. "What's your name, sweetie?"
"Kelly. Where's Daddy?"
"He's with your mommy, Kelly. You're safe with us now, and Mrs. Simpson will be here shortly to take you to a nice place where you'll be more comfortable. In the meantime, why don't you come out of that closet and walk downstairs with me?"
"Why?"
"Well, you certainly can't be all that comfortable in there, can you?"
"I'm all right. Are the men gone?"
"Did you see them?"
Kelly nodded, then shut her eyes. "I think one of them hurt Mommy."
"Your mommy isn't hurting any more, Kelly. She's with people who will take good care of her from now on."
"Isn't she coming home?"
The woman swallowed, then shook her head. "No, sweetie. She won't be coming home."
Kelly felt a rising panic inside her. Something was very wrong. "What about Daddy? Is he coming home?"
The woman closed her eyes and looked away for a moment, before she turned back. "No. He's going to stay with your mommy, but you don't need to worry about either one of them." The policewoman extended her hand again. "Come with me now, Kelly, and we'll get you something to eat. All right?"
Kelly shook her head. "I'm not hungry." Her eyes burned and she rubbed at them. "I want my Daddy." When the woman moved closer and attempted to wrap her arms around Kelly's waist, she resisted. Not wanting to leave the safe haven of the closet, she screamed and kicked to get loose. She had to stay where she was. Mommy told her to stay put. If she left, her parents wouldn't be able to find her.
The policewoman pressed Kelly's face to her shoulder as she lifted her out of the closet, but Kelly still saw how red her parent's bed was. Dark red. She hated red. It was an ugly color and it smelled wrong. Five or six men stood in the room, but they didn't say anything as Kelly was carried out and down the stairs. She fought to get back to the closet. She'd been safe there. But the woman kept tight hold of her and carried her into their dining room. She spoke to other people gathered in there, but didn't put Kelly down.
"This is Kelly Franklin. She's our only witness to what happened here yesterday, but I'm not sure how much she'll remember."

  2. OMG! What a great excerpt - sent chills down my spine. I have so many questions... I hope that her family is going to be alright... but I suspect it's going to be a rough ride for her! Suspenseful snippet :)

  3. Oh,no! Poor girl. I don't think things are going to be ok for her soon. I hope she has someone to care for her.
