My Book Boyfriend Blog Hop

My Book Boyfriend Giveaway Hop Hosted is by Reading Between the Wines Book Club & As the Pages Turn Giveaway.  The hop will run from 12:01 AM February 1st through to 11:59 PM February 5th, 2012.

The object of the game is to pick a boyfriend from the books you've read, or written.  This one is hard.  If I had to pick a boyfriend from all the books I've read I'd be in trouble.  There are so many strong, virile, handsome, considerate and protective lovers existing today both in e-readers and on the pages of steamy, romantic novels.  Of course, I also fall in love with the men I create, but I'm fickle because the one I love the most is the one whose story I'm currently working on.  So, given that, I'd have to say my current book boyfriend is Jim in A Dom's Dilemma.  You can see a bit of Jim, though only from Kyle and Tiffany's point in Arrested by Love, so that is the book I will offer readers during this hop.  One copy of Arrested by Love in the format of your choice. If you want to read an excerpt first, you can read the first three chapters on my web site.  Just click here.

If you want to know more about Jim, have a sneak peak at the unedited snippet below from the opening of A Dom's Dilemma.  He's a strict Dom and a police detective, so he has strong opinions on right and wrong and the way things need to be done.  And that's the way he wants them done, of course.  If you like Jim and would like to see more of him in Kyle and Tiffany's story, enter the contest by leaving a comment below as to what you look for in your book boyfriends, and if you win you'll get to cuddle up under your covers with Kyle for an evening or two.  Then hop on over to see which of the other author's boyfriends you'd like to spend time in bed with.

"Saw your sub come visitin' at the station today, Kyle," Jim Evans mentioned casually, before taking a sip of ice water.  In addition to being another Dom at theVelvet Chains BDSM club, Kyle Sinclair was also a fellow police officer in the same precinct as Jim.  They weren't friends exactly.  More like associates who had an occasional beer together.  "She in trouble?"
Seated at the bar, Kyle gave a dejected nod without looking up from what Jim thought might be a scotch on the rocks.  "Yeah, you could say that."
It had been awhile since Jim had seen Kyle's little sub at the club.  He'd always considered her an attractive bundle of fun, and one he'd like to top, if Kyle was willing to let him.  "You intendin' to do a punishment scene with her tonight?"
Kyle sighed, sounding depressed.  "Looks that way."
Shoving his hands into the rear pockets of his black slacks, Jim slowly rocked back on his heels, preferring to stand at the bar, rather than sit.  "Mind if I watch?"
"Not at all," Kyle answered, looking almost--relieved.  "In fact…."
Jim stood up straighter.  "What?  You lookin' to make a party of it?"
Kyle shook his head.  "I'm looking to find her another Dom.  Daniel tried to work with her and so did Greg, but I don't think they were strict enough to meet her needs."
Jim's eyebrow raised.  "A bit of a hellion, eh?"
"She can be.  She can also be a very sweet submissive when she's mastered properly.  It's just that--I've met someone else…."
"Got it.  So, tell me a little about your sub, and when she gets here, I'll put her through her paces.  Check how she responds to me.  If I'm pleased, I'll most likely want to scene with her.  I should know within a half-hour or so whether or not I think we'll click."
"Thanks," Kyle said, the relief in his voice evident.  "I really appreciate this, Jim."
