She needed a job, he needed a personal assistant. What could go wrong?
Reading this material at Work could get you spanked.
Welcome to Frisky Friday. My stories are all M/f with the dominant male determined to protect the woman he cares for and loves, or grows to love, by doing whatever it takes to ensure her safety and continued health. This includes administering a spanking when she needs one.
My submission for this week is from my sixth novel, Lessons in Love, published by Blushing Books.
This excerpt occurs after Mr. Peterson has taken Pam shopping for a new wardrobe at a an exclusive place where she suffered a mini breakdown. Knowing she'd have questions and wanting her to feel comfortable talking, he takes her to dinner at his private club. Pam is amazed to find a footman greet them, and stupefied by the ultra-exclusive manliness of the place, but she suffers a wave of uneasiness when she observes most of the private dining areas are equipped with beds.
Wondering what sort of place her boss has taken her to, she's relieved to note that the room they're escorted to looks like a private parlor with a small table set for two. However, there's an odd piece of the furniture in the corner made of wood and leather that seems terribly out of place with all the china, crystal and velvet. However, when she admits she's no longer hungry and suggests it might be best if she just went home, he puts a quick end to the nonsense by extending his hand with the request she place her fingers on his palm.
Pam squinted to keep her watering eyes from overflowing but did as he asked.
"Thank you," he murmured, rising as he assisted her to her feet. Then he drew her into his arms. "Relax and breathe, kitten. You're safe."
The words were pure nonsense, since the last person in the world she could be safe with at this moment was Robert Peterson. But the endearment and reassurance brought a sob to her throat.
"No apologies. Just release all that emotion churning inside you. I've got you, and I won't let you go."
"I feel like such a fool."
"Why?" His hand roamed her back, rubbing and soothing.
"You haven't done anything evil to me, and yet I'm terrified when you gaze at me that way."
"Steely-eyed and implacable. Like, no matter what I say or do, you intend to carry out whatever plan you’re considering."
"If I look that way, I would suggest you obey me, and quickly.
Though Rob recognizes Pam's uneasiness, he's not about to let her leave until she tells him what has her most concerned.
