Guest Post - 8/13/19 - Crystal Coast Love Connection by Sierra Brave #Contemporary #Romance

Can a sexy soldier convince her to give love another chance?

Excerpt:

Her tummy behaved like a python curving around a tree, twisting and squeezing, and her impulsive streak got the best of her. She leaned over by Chase’s ear. “Wait a couple of minutes and meet me at the ladies’ room. I’ll be waiting just inside the door.” She stood up and grabbed her purse. “Little girls’ room,” she said before walking off without looking back.
As Jessica entered the restroom, a woman exited one of the three stalls and headed to the sink to wash her hands. Jessica checked the other stalls, relieved to find them empty. She stood behind the other woman, pretending to check her makeup in the mirror. Hurry up…please, hurry.
Jessica stood in front of the mirror and played with her hair while the woman finished up and dried her hands. As she exited, another woman entered. Shit! I guess this was ill-advised. Jessica ducked out of the bathroom, finding Chase waiting just outside the door. She froze in her tracks and pointed behind her back with her thumb. “Occupied.”
“Yeah, a public bathroom is kinda… I already called us a cab. Let’s go to my place.”
A chill ran up her spine as she admired how well Chase filled out his cream-colored pullover sweater and gray slacks. Saliva filled her mouth, and she swallowed to keep from drooling. “What should we say?”
“I already made an excuse about having a stomachache and needing to go home.” He pulled out his phone. “Add your number. I’ll sneak out the back while you go sit back down. Finish your water, and when our ride gets here, I’ll text you. Then you tell the table a friend needs you and leave.”
Jessica’s smiled. “You’re a fast thinker.”
A grin spread across his face, and he shrugged. “See you in five to ten.”
“Count on it,” she replied before hurrying back to the table.
She sat down and asked, “Where’d the captain go?”
“Aw, poor Cappy got a tummy ache and had to go bye-bye,” Brent said with a laugh. “Some guys just can’t hold their booze like the rest of us.” A big goofy smile lit up his face.
What a dork.
Derrick spoke up. “Oh, he said to tell you he paid your bill. Something about owing you one.”
“Yeah,” she said without elaborating. Jessica sipped her water, hoping her face didn’t give her away. She bantered with Derrick and Brent, holding her own while keeping one eye on her watch. As for Ryan and Tanner, they might as well have been at a table for two in some secluded area because after a couple of rounds, they didn’t seem to notice anyone else in the room.
Jessica’s heart was already in her throat by the time her cell sounded off, and like an idiot, she jumped. Smooth girl, super smooth. Slicking a stray strand of hair behind her ear, she reached in her purse and got out her phone, making a big show of looking at her text. “Oh sorry, guys. My friend needs me. She works just down the road, so I’ll just walk on over.” She grabbed her wallet and left ten dollars for Amelia. She wasn’t sure how well Chase had tipped, and after working as a server all through high school and college, she understood the importance of leaving a full twenty percent.
She hightailed it outside and found Chase waiting for her by a running cab. “Ready to go?”
“Yep.”
He opened the door for her. She hopped in and then scooted over to the far side, allowing him to get in next to her. Jessica put on her seat belt while he closed the door. He cupped her cheek, surprising her, and she gasped just before he leaned in and placed a tiny peck on her lips.
She closed her eyes, relishing the smoothness of his soft lips. Goose bumps lifted the tiny hairs on her arms, and she shivered.
“Where to?” the driver asked.
Chase hesitated, looking Jessica in the eye. “You sure about this? I can have him take you home and call you tomorrow.”
Her brain cried out yes! But her pussy told it to shut the fuck up. Jessica reached up, grabbed Chase’s face with both hands, and pulled him in for another smooch. Their lips locked, and their heads turned as they deepened the kiss, their tongues twirling and twisting. After she broke away to catch her breath, Chase answered the cabbie with his address.

Guest Post - 7/23/19 - "Flawed" by Felicity Brandon #DarkRomance #Paranormal #BDSM

For some love stories, there is no happy ending.

Excerpt:

He lifted his hand, bringing it crashing back down over her covered behind, and he watched with satisfaction as her lips parted.
Holy fuck.
“Why are you being spanked, Lily?” he asked her as he delivered another three swats in fast succession.
She gasped, her eyes blinking wildly as she replied. “You… you want me to answer?”
Ethan chuckled lightly. She was so fucking adorable. “Yes, beautiful Lily,” he told her. “I want you to bloom for me, to come alive under the weight of my palm. And for that, you must answer.”
He heard the gasp of air Lily pulled in between her teeth. “I wanted it,” she responded, and Ethan could hear the trace of irony and disbelief in her tone at the admission. “I wanted you to spank me.”
Lily was right. She had wanted this, and as he spanked her over and over, he wondered whether or not she was regretting that choice now. He hoped not, and as he glanced down at her face he couldn’t see any fear in her eyes. There was some shock, and perhaps even concern, but not fear.
And Ethan knew what fear looked like better than most.
There was definitely no terror in his little flower, but there was the genesis of something else—the dark promise of her dilating pupils and her splaying knees beneath her virginal gown. There was the tantalizing prospect of her arousal.
“That’s right,” he crooned from over her bent body. “You did want it, little Lily, and I believe you need it, too. I think you’re the kind of woman who would benefit from a spanking most days.”
His right palm connected with the sitting spot of one and then the other pert cheek of Lily’s behind. “What do you think, young lady?”
Her lips parted again at his query, and he could see just by looking on her face how much she both loved and hated being labelled that way. No doubt she found the name denigrating in some way, but that was alright. Ethan could tell how much her body wanted to be treated that way—her desire to yield and her fast, panting breaths were evidence enough of that—but he also knew something else, something Lily didn’t know yet. Ethan wanted to denigrate her. He wanted to push her right down into the depths, if for no other reason, so that he could be the one to make her soar again.
“Yes,” she rasped, gyrating her body over his lap although he had never commanded her hips to move. It was hypnotizing to witness. “Yes, I do.”
“I know you do, beautiful,” he confirmed as he rained down a fresh torrent of smacks on her upturned bottom. “But you don’t have to worry. I’m here now, and I can help you scratch that little itch.”

Guest Post - 7/16/19 - Submitting to the Cowboy by B.J. Wane #Contemporary #Western #EroticRomance

He drove her away with his stubbornness once.  If he caved upon her return, would he still be able to be there for her when she needed him most?

Excerpt:

Exasperation flashed in his eyes. “Damn it, Tam, I doubt you’ve ever even been spanked.”
“I might have been if you hadn’t interrupted me the other night,” she shot back, equally frustrated with his obstinance, no matter that it stemmed from caring and concern.
“Really?” A calculated gleam entered his eyes as he ran his hands down her arms in what she could have sworn was a caress designed to soothe. Whatever it was, she enjoyed the light touch. “Well, since it was my fault you didn’t get to experience that aspect of BDSM, let me make up for it.”
Before she realized his intention, he grabbed her hand and tugged her over to the desk, maneuvering her in front of him. With a hand between her shoulders, he pressed gently, bending to whisper in her ear. “Lean on the desk. Show me you’re willing to experiment with this side of my lifestyle.”
His warm breath fanned the side of her neck, raising the tiny hairs on her nape, his words conjuring up all kinds of scenarios. Her voice shook as she whispered, “We’re not at the club. This is where I work, where someone might come in.” The next appointment wasn’t for an hour but that didn’t mean someone else couldn’t pop in. The very thought sent a flare of heat up her core. When had she become such a pervert? The silent question accompanied her descent over the desk as she braced on her forearms, her only thought to show him how serious she was about continuing with her submissive education. His sudden indrawn breath followed with the brush of his palm over her buttocks. She trembled, thinking maybe it was just Connor who turned her into a promiscuous deviant wannabe.
“Why do you have to be so stubborn?” he bemoaned as he palmed her right cheek. “This is wrong in so many ways, I can’t even begin to count. Remember, this is your doing.”
The sudden impact of Connor’s hand smacking her bottom jarred Tamara into an acute awareness of the minor discomfort, and how it seemed to feed the lust she harbored for him. Another spank followed the first, this one on her opposite cheek, delivered with a touch more force. She jerked, a small whimper escaping at the startling warmth spreading across her backside.
“This is just a taste of what subs are subjected to if they agree to play with a Dom.” Two more swats, each a little harder, jiggled her buttocks and built on the heat now expanding from her butt up between her quaking thighs. “Think long and hard, little one, because trust me, I’m being very,” smack! “very,” smack! “nice.” He ended the teasing torment with an almost casual exploration of her cheeks and then squeezed each throbbing globe, the tight grip emphasizing the ache and stirring her arousal.
Shaken, Tamara tried to lean back against Connor as he helped her straighten, but he shifted away too fast, leaving his hands on her upper arms until she steadied and turned to face him. With her face burning, her heartbeat thumping like a crazed bat and her warmed buttocks pulsing softly, she knew her face reflected the desire she couldn’t deny.
Connor dropped his hands as if burned and stumbled back a step, shaking his head. “You’re impossible. I’ve got to run. We’ll talk later.” Without another word or backward glance, he pivoted, snatched his hat off the hook and dashed out as if the hounds of Hell were after him.

Blurb:

Tamara Barton had lusted after Connor Dunbar ever since she was old enough to know what those stirrings meant whenever he was near.  Connor’s refusal to see her as anything but the young girl he’d befriended and protected for years soon drives them apart, but not before she catches an up-close, personal glimpse of him exerting the dominant control she’d heard rumors about.

Connor regretted the harsh words he’d spoken to Tamara when he caught her spying on him as much as his lustful response to the look of need reflected on her face.  He’d been looking after the neighbor girl since the moment he saw her falling off her first horse at the age of ten and didn’t plan on stopping now that she was a grown woman who thought she wanted their relationship to go in a different direction.  He knew his sexual proclivities were not for the young, sweet kid he was so fond of, and wouldn’t jeopardize their special bond by giving in to her desires.

But Tamara always had a way of getting what she wanted and when he saw she was serious about becoming a member of the private BDSM club he owned with his brother and best friend, Connor discovered he didn’t want her submitting to anyone but him.  When he learns she’d kept things from him that could have impacted her welfare, would he allow his failure to protect her to drive another wedge between them or finally embrace a life with her at his side as more than just a cherished friend?

This is book three in the Cowboy Doms series but reads as a standalone.

Guest Post - 7/9/19 - Hunter by Valerie Ullmer #Paranormal #EroticRomance

Amazon Review: The storyline is unique and creative. The characters will make you fall in love with them. The action will have you on the edge of your seat but the steamy scenes will have you craving more!

Excerpt:

“You don’t have to fear me.  You’re safe.”  Hunter reiterated his promise and cupped her face.
Hunter’s vision blackened around the edges and a second later, he plunged into a darkness.  He didn’t understand when he heard her quiet voice.
“I’m not so sure about that.”
The next minute, Hunter sensed his surroundings changed.  He blinked his eyes, getting used to the darkness after the bright, blinding light of the snow.  He still found himself on his knees and as he moved his fingers searching for the woman who had been right in front of him, he found she wasn’t there any longer.
Hunter closed his eyes and listened to his surroundings.
There was a low hum from a computer fan somewhere in the room and there was breathing, deep, as if the person was asleep.  Before he could investigate further, a desk lamp clicked on and his eyes moved toward the arrogant looking man seated, cross-legged, on an uncomfortable metal chair.  He had a smug look on his face and Hunter wanted to break his face.
Hunter pulled his gaze from the man and took a quick glance around and to him, something about it seemed familiar.  The sterile coldness, the clear glass that looked out into the hall, the white formica tiles on the floor.  Sterile and clean.  The place gave him the creeps.
When he turned his gaze to the man in the lab coat, his gaze wasn’t on Hunter but on a woman laying on the exam table he hadn’t seen until that moment.
Hunter took a deep breath, trying to examine the scents in the room and looking for a familiar one, but there was nothing.  He should have scented the sterile environment, the blue liquid on the counter along with wooden sticks and cotton balls, but there was nothing.
He growled in frustration but neither the older gray-haired doctor, nor the woman strapped down with her mouth covered to muffle sound, reacted to the sound escaping from his throat.
Without another thought, he lunged for the doctor but he passed through the figure.
Okay, I’m not here.  Can’t scent, can’t touch.
Hunter turned toward the table and sucked in a deep breath as the familiar features of the woman in the mountains came into focus.  Her face looked gaunt, but it was the dark brown hair and matching eyes that took him by surprise because she looked familiar.  Her body looked starved and despite the bruising on her limbs and the dark circles under her eyes; she looked back at the doctor in defiance.
Hunter jolted when the man spoke.
“So, Nerissa… it appears you’re an utter failure as a shifter.”  His eyes glanced down as if he were ashamed by her lack of abilities.  “But you are a prime candidate for an experimental drug my colleagues and I have been working on.”
Her gaze narrowed as he continued to speak and he noted her body shook with the continuous growl that emitted from her throat.
“You had such promise.  Oh, well.”
As if waiting for that statement, a nurse walked in and handed a syringe to the man.  “Here you go, Dr. Stevens.”

Blurb:

Half-vampire and half-shifter.

All alone in the world.

Despite everything, Neri made a life for herself after she escaped from a facility using her as a test subject.  She has no past, no family, and no connections to the world as far as she can remember.  She stays to herself and finds a routine, telling herself she isn’t lonely.  But everything changes when she spots Hunter and her first true memory revealed.  He was there the day someone injected her with an experimental drug and changed into this cold being.

As Neri and Hunter navigate their newfound relationship, their journey becomes even more complicated when they learn Neri’s venom is deadly to shifters.  But with help from the other immortals, Hunter and Neri reveal her past and realize the extent of the threat Dark Company has been dealing with for years.

But can their relationship survive with so much stacked against them?
