Welcome to Horny Hump Day, a regular Wednesday feature! In this blog loop, we hope to provide you with tiny little tidbits of the most sexy and sensuous moments in our books. Just 3 sentences. The books might be already published, works-in-progress, or even classic literature we think you’ll like.

This post for HHD is from my 1st book, Mortal Illusions. A vampire romance published by New Concepts Publishing, Mortal Illusions is currently the first in a series of 3 books.  Its sequel, Fatal Desire, is currently under production.

In this segment, a continuation of my June 20 Horny Hump Day, Claire Daniels is torn between her fear and her desire for Germaine after she's witnessed the start of what appeared to be his group torturing another woman.  When she demands to know exactly what his followers were doing to the mortal female, Germaine refuses to say.  With the sober knowledge that some things can't be explained, they have to be shown, he continues a slow, methodical seduction intended to bring Claire to a painful point of arousal.

Crying out in pure frustration, Claire drew her knees up and dug her fingers into his hair, yet he still resisted her.  With a sob, she said, “Please, Germaine, I can't stand any more of this.  I need your touch.

  1. This is a good piece. I like the "begging" angle to create conflict and suspense.

  2. Nice; takes the reader to eroticism's darker edges to find them every bit as desirable as the sweeter places. Reading this, I want to know what happens next.

  4. He's definitely in control of this situation! Wonder when or if he's going to give in to her pleas. Great tension.

  5. I love how she's reduced to begging. Anticipation usually makes it better when it finally happens.
