Six Sentence Sunday - Mortal Illusions

This material is Not Safe For Work. If you’re not over 18, please explore elsewhere.

Welcome to my 6SS where I hope to provide you with tiny little tidbits of the most sexy and sensuous moments in my books. Just 6 sentences, that I intend to build from my Horny Hump Day 3 sentence feature. The books might be already published, works-in-progress, or even sentences from other sexy books I think you’ll like.  Of course, I will properly attribute all works, even mine.

My current post for 6SS, is from my 1st book, Mortal Illusions. A vampire romance published by New Concepts Publishing, Mortal Illusions is currently the first in a projected series of 3 books.  It's sequel, Fatal Desire, is currently under production. In this segment, Claire Daniels has finally convinced the two hundred year-old vampire, she hopes will ultimately save her brother's life, into making love to her.  But this vampire's bite is decidedly different from anything she's ever seen in the movies!

The smile in his eyes changing to a heated glow, Germaine willingly followed Claire's lead to Lucy Seward's lacy four poster bed.  The platform mattress was exceptionally hard for stage use, but all he did was perch her on the edge of it.  Then raising her calf-length suede skirt and silk under-slip to her waist, he gazed long and lovingly upon the view she offered him.
The notion that he gained pleasure from simply looking at her made Claire desire him even more.  She drew her skirt even higher and opened her legs to him.  "May I watch you as well?" she asked a little tremulously.

  1. Claire isn't shy, is she? Wonderful snippet, Kathryn!

  2. Thank you, Trish. My goodness, you're up early! Actually, she is a little shy, and naive to even think that is possible. But, hey, there's always a first time.

  3. Wow, did it warm up in here???

    Nice job.

  4. Thanks D'Ann. I really like 6SS. It allows me to go trolling for new authors so I can increase my TBR, which is already way too big for its britches. Sigh.

    1. Your Milayna sounds really interesting as well, and Azazel, your kick-ass bad guy, does feel really evil. However, I've seen heroes develop out of demons, so you never really know about those guys.

  6. Very sexy six! Wonder if she's thinking about what he's going to do or what he is? Knowing that he's a vampire would be distracting to me in such a scenario! LOL Loved the fact they're on this very lacy bed. Very erotic!

    1. Thanks Jenna. At this point she does know he's a vampire, and she's been with him at least once already, which is why he is a little surprised by her question. She already knows his bite can immobilize her into an ecstatic trance, but maybe this time she can be more in control. Um, no.

  8. Thanks Liz. I had difficulty finding your blog since your Google profile isn't public, but I preserved. Loved the rushing, angry feeling of your post. Well done!

  9. Very sexy! And am I right in thinking that 'Seward' is one of the character's names from Stoker's 'Dracula'? :-)

    1. Hi Gayle - I answered your question in a new post below. Just visited your site and read your 6SS snippet from Quality Times and The Whispering Tombs, and I laughed out loud. Really intriguing. I've dated one or two pigs, too, in my lifetime, but they walked on two legs and weren't much into "mud-wallowing."

  10. Hi Gayle. Yes, you're exactly right. Lucy Seward is the female heroine in Hamilton Deane's 1924 theatrical adaptation of Stoker's Dracula (which was revived on Broadway in 1977 with Frank Langella in the lead role-who was a very McDreamy Dracula at the time), and Claire Daniels is appearing as Lucy in the musical version of Hamilton Deane's play, which Germaine St. Justine is both producing and financially backing. Phew, that was a long sentence.

Lucy Seward is actually a combination character based on Stoker's Mina Murray (who marries Jonathan Harker later in the book) and Lucy Westenra (who Dracula slowly converts into another vampire). Mina is actually the "heroine" in Stoker's book, not Lucy, but I'm sure this is much more information than you wished to get with your nice, simple question. However, if you're interested in knowing more about the changes Deane made in his adaptation, visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dracula_(1924_play)

So, "spot on" for the recognition. You get 1,000 points (too bad they aren't worth anything),
