Six Sentence Sunday - Deadly Enchantment

This material is Not Safe For Work. If you’re not over 18, please explore elsewhere.

Welcome to my 6SS where I hope to provide you with tiny little tidbits of the most sexy and sensuous moments in my books. Just 6 sentences, that I intend to build from my Horny Hump Day 3 sentence feature. The books might be already published, works-in-progress, or even sentences from other sexy books I think you’ll like.  Of course, I will properly attribute all works, even mine.

My current post for 6SS, is from my 2nd book, Deadly Enchantment. A shape-shifting wizard romance published by New Concepts Publishing, Deadly Enchantment concerns a young psychic woman facing off with the dark wizard of Ravenscroft, who she is convinced has brutally slaughtered her sister in a fit of jealousy on their wedding night.

In this segment, Serena Cunningham believes Dominic Westcroft is purposely frightening off his other female guests in order to be alone with her.  What's worse is the knowledge that he is cruelly flaunting his magic to do it.  Unfortunately, Serena is attracted to him, even though she is adamantly struggling to deny it, and he is attracted to her, even though he believes she is out to betray him.  The room they're in is charged with sexual tension and the sharp tingling of impending magic as Serena angrily informs Dominic that she knows exactly the sort of monster he is, and refuses to stay another night under his roof.

Anger and fear loosening her tongue, she said, “I know that you’re capable of murdering your own wife, and I’ll be damned before I’d let Allison fall prey to a similar fate.”  She whirled to leave when the door shut before her and locked.  He was right.  She was a fool.
Bravado stiffening her spine, she turned back to face him.
“I believe, my dear, that like me, you already are damned.”

  1. Ooo...his pronouncement has to make her quail. It would make *me* quail! Of course, she's a lot more spunky than I am. :) Wonderful snippet, Kathryn!

    1. Thank you, Trish. In some ways I think all my heroines are just a little braver than me. Yup, can't imagine I would do if a man turned into a leopard right before me. Oh, yes, I can, and it wouldn't be pretty.

  2. Great action, loved the door slamming by magic and then his response...

(FYI-blogspot has a kink in their code that doesn't show the Captcha code for WordPress users, so I can't log in that way and then have to try alternatives. You might consider turning off Captcha on Sundays...)
